Niken nodded in agreement with Lionel's proposal.
”Where are we going first?”
”How about my place?” Zehell chirped. ”There is a lake where mermaids live in my country.”
”Mermaids?! I've never seen a mermaid before.” Niken really liked the idea of visiting the country where Zehell lived. She wanted to see a real mermaid.
”Isn't mermaid an evil spirit?” on the contrary, Kazuto rather disliked this idea. At first, he was quite happy because he finally separated from his mentor, but if they went to the man's country, like it or not, he had to see the face of his mentor much longer.

From the story she heard, the mermaids were a spirit that was very famous for their beauty and sweet voice. They always smiled and be friendly to the humans they meet. That's why Niken didn't expect mermaids in the land of Zehell to be an evil spirit that eats humans.
”That's far from what I heard. I thought mermaids are beautiful and kind creatures?”
”It's just a children's fairy tale. All mermaids in this world are evil spirits. They are indeed beautiful and kind-hearted, but it is all to lure humans into jumping the water they live in. Once a human sank in the water, even the strongest Elementalist won't be able to escape their seduction.”
”Including the wizard?”
”Including wizards. Only purebloods and mix-blood wizards could escape their charm.” Lionel continued.
”Even so, if the mermaid's magic power is more potent than us, even pureblood wizards will not be able to escape.”

”How about we go somewhere else first? We don't have to make the northern regions as our first destination. We can head towards the South region. What do you think?”

Zehell smiled broadly with a bright voice. ”Of course. I will definitely be your tour guide. I like your disciple's nature.”
Lionel rolled his eyes lazily, while Kazuto sat limply and pretended to be sleeping on their meeting table.
