Chapter 14 - Strange Faces

What entered his eyes was an unfamiliar woman's face.

”This is yours?” Mu Yi Chu asked as he adjusted his ragged breathing.

The woman was shocked by the sudden forceful action, but immediately revealed a smiling face. ”Great!” A female customer just left her clothes in our locker room. I was wondering how to find the customer. ”Since you know this lady, I'll leave it to you. Please pass it to your friend.”

It was a female shop assistant. Mu Yi Chu looked around the shop a few times, but still lost the woman in the end. He hadn't been able to catch up to her in the first place, but now that he was delayed, the woman was even more clueless now that she had changed her clothes. Mu Yi Chu hesitated for a few seconds before giving up.

Mu Yichu shrugged at the salesgirl, indicating that he accepted her offer. He ran his hand over the windbreaker hanging in the crook of his arm. There was still some warmth left on it. It was unknown if it was the mysterious woman's or the female shop assistant's.

Although he didn't catch up to him, he knew that he was chasing ”people” and not ”ghosts”. This made Mu Yi Chu feel a lot more at ease. But then, thinking about the huge amount of money he spent on Bai Zhongning's wedding, he felt that he was really stupid. As expected, in an unconscious state, people would only do foolish things. Although he wasn't short on money, he still felt pained to think that his money wasn't spent on himself and was still wasted like this.

However, he couldn't possibly be so thick-skinned as to turn around and ask for the mysterious Spirit Medium to come back. Heh, forget it. Mu Yi Chu sneered as he moved to return to the coffee shop.

Separated by a large distance, Mu Yi Chu caught a glimpse of a beautiful figure standing at the entrance of the shop. Approaching closer, he discovered that it was Bai Jingling. She had actually been waiting for him ever since he ran away.

Mu Yi Chu slowed down his footsteps, his heart hesitating as to whether or not he should continue to drag Bai Jingling into this. He wasn't someone who needed friends. Furthermore, he did not know whether Bai Jingling would give him more information or trouble. To be honest, all the people related to Bai Zhongning made him feel extremely disgusted. Even if Bai Jingling had a decent set of skin.

He really didn't want to mess with another virgin. He really couldn't understand what was going on in the brains of men with virgins. After all, was it worth it?

”Didn't you catch up?” Bai Jingling looked at Mu Yichu and asked in concern. She lowered her eyes and saw the familiar windbreaker in the young man's hand. She asked uncertainly, ”Did we catch him?”

”I didn't catch up to him, so I managed to earn some clothes.” Mu Yi Chu laughed self-deprecatingly, and teased Bai Jingling the moment she was interested, ”It's useless for a man like me to have a woman's windbreaker, why don't I give it to you?”
