”Hmm? Didn't I answer it already? What specific things you want to know?”

Wuxing questioned just in case, not sure what was her goal. She already asked about Anna just earlier after his incident with Katherine but now she was questioning him again. It didn't look right at all.

”Like what do you think of them. What you like about them and why are you friends with each of them. I want to know your general opinion,” Dongmei explained with a smile, tugging on his shirt.

If he didn't seem to be in a good mood he would definitely think that something was wrong. Why would she even ask about that if everything was normal?

”Are you sure?” Wuxing asked. ”I don't have a habit of talking about other women right after sex.”

”Don't worry, I'm not suspicious or anything. I feel much better right now so I want to finish our talk from earlier,” Dongmei assured him, kissing him for additional confirmation.

”Okay then,” Wuxing finally agreed and grabbed on her naked waist, pulling her closer as he began.

”Let's see, Scarlet is like a little sister for me. She is cute, adorable, and I just feel like I want to protect her. Maybe it was one of the reasons why I proposed she should join the selection with us. The other was her acting skills and ability to adapt to the situation. She really helped me back on the ship. I didn't need to waste much time while killing Long Qing and everything went smoothly.”

”Mhmm, she is really precious. I can't help but hug her whenever I see her,” Dongmei nodded. ”What about the rest? Katherine?”

Wuxing took a deep breath.

”What happened earlier was all her. I promise,” Wuxing defended himself but Dongmei stopped him right there.

”You don't need to mention it. I believe you.”

”Are you asking me about the group because you want to kick her?” Wuxing guessed.

Dongmei didn't confirm nor denied it and replied simply, ”I'm just making an assessment of the members in our group and I want to know your opinion.”

Wuxing sensed the storm brewing but he still replied honestly.

”She is complicated. I can never figure out what is going on in her mind. She is definitely a dangerous figure that will aim to get exactly what she wants without going back. She is one of those ride or die women who won't stop until they succeed. I won't deny the fact she is really strong and would be a great addition to our team. We need another fighter aside from me and she is perfect in that aspect.”

Wuxing paused and added, ”About her personality, she is excessive at times, doing things she shouldn't do but in my opinion, it doesn't eliminate her from staying with us. I believe the benefits she brings to the table outweighs the drawbacks. I think we can handle her mischievous side and keep it under control.”

He waited for Dongmei's reaction and sighed in relief when she nodded, agreeing with him, ”I guess you are right. She already exposed her plans to me so it's much easier to handle her.”

”Well, I don't see a problem with her liking me. As long as I consider her a friend, it should be all good,” Wuxing commented but even he wasn't exactly sure of his words.

Katherine was completely unpredictable.

”What about Ash?” Dongmei continued her questioning. ”Do you consider her a part of our group?”

”Hmm, Ash was never a mercenary but she has a lot of connections and can handle the logistics well. I would still invite her to join us just to help us with all the background stuff. Our relationship is also pretty good so I'm sure she will fit nicely with us,” Wuxing said honestly.

He didn't mind answering all the questions but he still felt as if under investigation which made him uncomfortable.

Wuxing hugged her tightly and used the revert card.
