49 Chapter 44 ~ East Gate of the Prison Realm (1/2)

The man alongside 8 other players excluding the trio, most of them are teenagers. And they are rushing toward the east gate which has been widely opened for them.

Large number of draugr are swarming the area however, the plan for their escape is none other than going head in and fight their way out.

*Fwoosh*

Kurira slides underneath a skeleton and then flip around to smash its head with the wooden club. It staggered, but she didn't stop. Kurira went to bash it again with her shield and pin it to the ground, and then smashed it again.

*Brakk*

Its bones quickly detached itself from its body and scattered on the floor.

”Fuck, this is hella weird. I've been using a VM all this time, it takes a while for me to get used to this... human body. I need to amp up my stamina later on, these legs are getting heavy.”

*crack *crack *crack

She noticed something coming her way, she propelled herself to the back and saw a draugr holding up his sword in the air. She dashed closer and when the draugr swing it down, she holds her shield up and bashed its head.

Because of the nature of Plank Shield, she can't risk herself getting an injury from parrying by using it. Kicking him away, she delivers another blow with her club right to his head.

*Bam!*

It quickly staggered. A shadowy appearance suddenly passed through and then do roundhouse with a staff, crushing the draugr's head.

It was none other than Rakuri. ”Beh, I forgot that you can't kill steal in this game.”

”Hey, you're supposed to be in the back.”

”Like hell I would let you have all the fun. Step back, bitch.” Rotating her staff around rapidly, she chanted her [Fire Creation] spell and created a trail of flames on her feet and imbued her staff with it. Dashing towards the front not so fast, no so slow either, she bashed another skeleton's head and burn it aflame.

All this time, Siola has been staying in the back. It is part of her playstyle that she only moves when necessary. Her, along with the other 3 people from another group are providing supports. 2 other ones are mage while the other is an archer.

”Hey there, you're not going with your friends?” asked the archer, ”Want to group with us? We need one more support on our team.”

Siola glanced. Seeing the man that is inviting her... make her sick, he reminded her of her past fiancé. ”No.” she responded.

”But that's, your class not match good with them, you know? Especially with the latest update, that templar's heal will damage you. We have an Acolyte on our team. How about it?”

She ignored him and walked toward her group. The archer's expression hardened knowing that he just got rejected flat with no second thought. The archer paid a numerous sum to the game for the ability to reconfigure his face even prettier and to recruit many members to his guild, yet he still can't even invite someone his age to the group.

The two mages glanced at her, ”Just ignore her, Lex. Sooner or later, she'll beg to join us.”

”Yeah, I mean just look at her. A Necromancer, I bet she won't even past level 20 in a year. Noob like her is not worth it.”

The archer only nodded at them and went to tend his own business.

A group or a party is limited to only 6 members, the other 3 people are another party of their own. With Siola's group, there is a total of 12 people including the guy that assisted them to escape.

The archer's group, one of them, the Acolyte is staring at Kurira. Not because of how gorgeous she is, but…

*BANG *BANG *BANG

Smashing a draugr's head with her shield repeatedly, she raised her club even higher and smashed it again. The Acolyte watching all of it unfolded is making her stomach grumbling in disgust, ”What the hell. I get that it's not dead yet, but… she's a lady, come on... at least, be a little…”

*BANG *BANG *BANG *BAM

*Crack*

Completely turning its head around, Kurira managed to defeat it. However, because of the nature of the system. She can't get her exp and loot yet, they need to finish the battle until there is no enemy left standing.

Turning her head around, she saw Siola approaching her.

”Just in time. This one got good stats, think you can up him?”

Siola looked at the corpse for a moment, and then responded, ”Sure.”

Looking at the two conversings, the Acolyte wonders what they're talking about. Shortly after, she got her answer. When Siola moved her hands, raising her palm as she grasped the air above the skeleton, purple dark energy starts forming. Soon after, it seeps through the slope of the draugr's armor and then turned into black smoke.

The acolyte's eyes widened as she witnessed the draugr is floating up in the air and stood menacingly between them, she saw the two smiling. ”Hunh, impossible. She's not even level 1 yet, how can she got the stats to raise that thing?!”

”Hana! What are you doing, another wave is coming!”

”Ah” startled by her teammate's shout, she quickly holds her ground and joins them. While left thinking, 'She's gotta be a smurf. Dammit, I thought Lex said he would invite her in. Why is she still not with us now? What a waste.'

Siola is holding some kind of transparent dark orb in her hand, thinking, '4 Intelligence, 16 Faith. Good thing the draugr's level wasn't too high. Damn, Necromancer is really bad. Almost can't even ressed level 5 and I need a fucking corpse to get a summon.'

Looking intensely in the eye-less undead, 'Cost 400 health to ressed you. Time limit too' with a face full of anger, she mumbled to him, ”Go and kill yourself for me.”

Even with a command so dark, the draugr nodded willingly. Unsheathing his sword, he went to join Rakuri in the front. Sighing, Siola then follows Kurira from behind.

”Don't be like that, I'm sure you'll find a use for it later. I don't know if it's correct or not, but back then I used to see a lot of people start getting into Necromancy.”

”Haa… that was just because some rich douce got a rare Insight for it. Just imagine having to spend health to activate spells. It's one thing for skills.”

A Necromancer is one of the rarest classes ever played in Ekolia. The progression for leveling is slow, the rank up is limited, but one thing that's good about it is that it works for people that are playing solo and not having friends to party around. Just like the Author that made this novel.

Shifting the attention back to Rakuri, she's storming down in cloak of flame against the wave of the skeleton alongside the guy that invites them, ”Hoho, you're good, traveler. Where did you learn that moves?” he asked.

”Place you don't want to be.”

The guy quickly faded to dust and reappeared behind a draugr's back.

*Slash*

Slicing its rotting throat like cutting chicken, ”Heh, I like it already.”

The other two groups are trying hard to catch up to them, ”What the hell are those NPCs, dude. They're too OP!!”

”Shit, that woman is from another party, man. Hurry up, they're all going to hog all the exp!”

*Bam *Clink *Clank *Slash

The reason for them being so hasty and inpatient is that, when they leave this place, there won't be much chance for them to level up freely before hitting level 20. So, all of them are trying to get enough exp just for that purpose.

The tank bashed away the staggered draugr and deliver a huge blow with a club on his head.
