39 Chapter 35 ~ Stitching Back the Past 2/3 (2/2)

Ever since Siola left, she has been depressed and starts making things that Siola likes, including the clothes that she's wearing right now. Seeing her daughter being like that, Hajaran tries to lessen her pain and started eating the food she's unconsciously made.

To his surprise, the food was not bad at all. Far from that instead, it's delicious. He and his son, Kikojei, grew fond of it and the food she made has become one of their favorites.

Several Minutes Later

*gulp*

*gulp*

*Pwah*

Siola's energy returned to 100%, it might even reach the point of overload. 'Good God, can't believe I actually ate all that. So freakin' good!' she giggled to herself.

”Did you like it?” Yuri asked.

Her giggling put to a stop when she heard Yuri's voice. She only glanced and quickly ignored her. This felt like a glass being shattered by a hammer for Yuri.

Though Siola's eyes wander a bit too much as it turns away, they suddenly met Hajaran, and he is not pleased by what he has seen.

”How long are you going to be this childish, Siola?”

She glanced down and avoid answering him.

”A Mithra always solved their problem with ease, calm, and will to succeed. You never even tried to solve this drama you brought upon yourself, and you even blamed it on others.”

”…”

”Tell me, Siola. Do you even remember… what has caused all this?”

Her eyes widened as quickly as she lifted her head, facing her grandfather's eyes. She doesn't know how to answer, 'What do you mean, of course, I remember. It was because that bitch told Rosa to take MY fucking fiancé! What else is there, she even orchestrated for me being kicked out of college and worse, she even made Rosa turns against me!!'

All these things in her mind, she wants to get it all out. However, when her grandfather asked that question. It raises doubt in her mind.

”… I see. So, you are not yet ready to go back to Society.”

”W-Wait, I-I… I…” trembling because of fears, this might be the only chance she has to get back up in the ladder and quite possibly leave the house. Yet, she couldn't muster up anything to answer him.

”…” Hajaran sighed, ”I supposed the little Mithra that I know of has long gone, huh. Yuri, take her to her room. I've heard enough.”

Bright sparkles appeared in Yuri's eyes, ”Yes, father.”

She reached out to grab Siola's shoulder, but when the spiders start crawling up her spine, Siola was about to shove her hand away and screamed.

”Don't—”

However, it was cut when Sadrin grabbed the other.

Siola's face hardened. She lowered her hand and let her mother took her. Sadrin stayed behind and with a smile on her face, she saw the child she raised finally listened to her.

Kikojei has also left the room.

”You really think there is still yet hope?” asked Hajaran.

”…” Sadrin responded, ”When she returned home, I saw nothing resembles the Siola that we know, it was like… she has become a completely different person. One that we should not have.”

”…”

”However, for the past several days. I saw a glimmer of her light again, it was the same when she shines back in the day. The child that is full of potential and make us proud to have her as Mithra. I've seen it, even if it's only smithereens of it. Siola is still there.”

”…” Hajaran didn't respond. However, his lips tilted up with his heart comfortably reaching warmth.
