19 Chapter 15 ~ A Bad Day 1/4 (1/2)

Siola is bartering the food that she has in exchange for an item in a shady pawnshop. Although she was actually planning to take them somewhere else and cook them herself, the item caught her attention and she wants it really badly.

”Gal, u gotta take that shit somewhere else. Dis fork I got here came from a fucking DYNASTY ERA”

”Dynasty my A.S.S, hon. Gimme that shit, 1.5%”

”Fuck, man. Why can't u just give up if you're broke? I gotta put some food on the table!”

”And here is the fucking food, come on. 1.5 %. How about an extra kiss from me, huh, sound good?” The man spit, ”Tceh, ain't fancy no kids. Fine, gimme that, and don't come here again.”

Siola was a bit insulted being called a kid, she wants to retort to it, but since she got what she wanted, she decided to drop it off. Siola gave the food she got and the man gave the fork she wanted with the extra ”1.5%”.

It's an additional currency for food in Desolated Sector. When someone hits 100% of it, that means that person will only need to pay for the normal price of the food they bought without any additional payments, and it also works like a coupon for a discount but can only be used only in government-related market and it works only once.

Siola took the golden fork that was uniquely shaped and engraved, then turned around and walk away. After a while, she spits out, ”Asshole.”

Passing through the crowded area, and took a lift to go several floors up. She found herself near the window-less area of a 50-story apartment where there are no uniforms around. Siola rested her hands on the stone fence and look around to admire the view.

Her location is at ”Center Galaxy”, the most populated market(s) in the Desolated Sector which is being controlled by the government, which is why the security here is tight.

Starting from her right, which is a super mall, holding tons of groceries, and the main location for shopping for clothes and accessories. Going bit by bit to the left, there is a gambling store, which sells many things a certain people know about… casinos, game stores, synth store, which is the one selling many kinds of those ”Special Accessories”.

Putting the fork in her mouth, Siola rubs her tongue with it lightly. 'Need some money to go there, I can't stand having this empty stomach in this exhausted body. But first, I need to sell my virginity, and I will have more money that way.'

*bam*

He bumps into her, making Siola staggered. The one who snatches it is almost as tall as her, which means, not very tall.

”Hey!!” Siola yelled out but the thief didn't listen to her and just ran off.

She wastes no time and went to chase him. 'Dammit, I just got that thing a minute ago!'

Chasing with the speed of a turtle, she tries to catch up to the thief who is running like an eel, easily passing through the blocked area.

*Huff *Huff

After a while, Siola managed to get the thief in her sight, but judging by how it looks… it doesn't look good for her, she's far too exhausted after chasing him for this far away. They are still in Center Galaxy, but they have been running around for a long time. Around and inside of one of its alleys, the place is quite narrow so it's easy to spot the thief. However. it looks like he has exponentially more stamina than her, and obviously, Siola couldn't keep up with him.

Her eyes started getting clouded, 'Gah, my fucking gamer stamina can't handle this long of a distance.'

*Pah*

She gasped for air as she stopped chasing him.

*pant *pant

Her heart beating so fast that it's making her hard to breathe. Opening one of her eyes, she shifts them to the thief who is slowly fading away from her sight.

*pant *pant

”You… just wait… *pant* just... watch... You'll pay… for this… I'll make you... pay for this…”

Her heart instantly fueled with hatred towards him. She looked at the ground and found herself spinning, the world around her that is. She hold on to the wall and rested her back, but she couldn't hold her ground and instead, her back slowly sliding down to the point of her butt touching the ground.
