10 Chapter 10 ~ A Gift: Attire & Skill Part 1 & 2 (1/2)

Looking at myself in the mirror, the interface opened as soon as I concentrate my thoughts into it.

I navigated through and look for Status Screen, focusing on it once again.

And then, my Status opened.

Status [Level 0] Progress: 0%

Name: [None] / Occupation: Mage / Class: Single Path / Religion: [None]

Health: 100/100 / Mana: 350/350 / Stamina: 150/150

Strength: 2 / Vitality: 2

Dexterity: 5 / Resistance: 1

Intelligent: 5 / Faith: 5

Assessing every detail of it, to see if it's done correctly… and it did.

'Hum-hum not bad, if I do say so myself. Maybe I should put more in Vitality?'' I thought, 'No, this is enough... probably.'

The reason why I filled every stat is that, with 0 stats…

Well you just dumb if you put 0 on any of these stats, even Min-Maxing requires you to do this. At least in this game, that is indeed the case…

Countless people at the beginning of the game chose to Min-Max their stats. Well, obviously it's because that is the most optimal thing to do.

I mean, I am going to Min-Max as well.

But, there are essentials that people have missed and chose to ignore.

Wands or Staffs will still need Strength, and at minimum, you need at least 1 in Resistance to be able to have a chance in reducing Negative Effects such as burning and chilled. Vitality is required for Recovery, I need that.

It's important to have Vitality since it's increased all Attributes regeneration

Last but not least, 5 Dexterity, it is essential, many players aside from the Rogue class made this mistake. They couldn't figure out why they can't dodge, they thought Dodge are exclusive for Rogue or Assassins… stupid.

Increasing Dexterity also increased movement speed.

Intelligent and Faith are my main stats, why Faith even though I'm not a Priest. Well, it's because there are spells out there that require and scales with Faith.

Most of those are hybrid spells, such as [Lava Quake] Stomping the ground will shatter it to pieces, creating multiple lava substances. That spell is a combination of Pyromancy and Geomancy, which required Intelligent AND Strength.

I didn't up my Strength too much, because I know that I won't need it so soon in the early game.

Of course, I chose [Wind Creation] as starter ability, there are 3 Option; Fire, Water, and Wind. The fire might be a better option in terms of battle power, but [Wind Creation] is the most useful one from my experience.

It can be used to create a globe just to reduce cold temperature, making a barrier that can shift projectiles, and many more.

One that stood out is that, with enough knowledge… one can use [Wind Creation] to breathe underwater. Yes, the cheapest spell and it outweigh the tier 4 [Water Breathing] spell.

'Ahh, I keep getting distracted because of this face…'

'Mm…'

Gazing at myself intensely, all of a sudden, as I look at the bottom side of the reflection…

I saw Malice… slowly creeping out behind me with her sharp eyes.

All of my hair stood up, ”Hiiieee!!”

*Bam*

I quickly turned around with my back against the mirror, Malice herself also got startled because of it. After taking a breath, I spoke, ”Sorry, I was deep in thought, and you just…”

She shakes her head; it looks like she didn't get bothered by it, I know I was so rude just now, so I apologize once again, properly this time. She then pointed her finger on my forehead, and it glows so brightly for a moment.

A Notification appeared.

[Appraisal]: Gain the Ability to Inspect

'Unlike Active Skill, Passive doesn't cost anything or has any limitation to use.'

It was quite perceptive of her to give it to me, knowing that I need it.

”T-Thank you,” I said.

She nodded.

Malice lifted her arms, handing me a bag. It was a set of clothing.

It's a type of a priestess attire but in goth-like appearance, black color with see-through mesh and lining of silver, subtle black shoes along with black arm wraps, and naked backside. She also gave me a necklace.
