4 Chapter 4 (1/2)
Skylar was already having breakfast when her mom came downstairs. She could tell that she was a bit puzzled to see her there and ready for school.
”Morning mom”
”Morning baby. Why are you already done? Was school that great?”
”No. I am walking with my friend to school”
”I see. So, you don't need me to drop you off at school?”
”No. thanks”
She gets up from the table when she is done. ”Bye mom” as she places a kiss on her cheek. ”Bye honey. Have a great day.”
Lola is already waiting for outside when she arrives at her house. ”Morning. Where you waiting long?”
”Yes” Lola said. Making a pouty face. ”Sorry”
She laughs ”I was just joking. I just came outside. Let's go”
We walk to school and we make it with a good amount of time to spare. We head to our lockers. Skylar heart drops when she sees those guys. By those guys she meant the popular boys in the school.
She wanted to turn back but it seemed as if Lola was used to it. As if sensing her reluctance, she turns to her ”Don't worry Skylar they will barely notice us. I'm used to this.”
”Okay if you say so.”
She carries on walking. They seem to be arguing about something. She held her breath as they were passing them. ”You” They both stop dead in their tracks and turn to the direction where the sound is coming from.
”Can you come over here.”
Skylar notices that they are speaking to her. ”Go. You don't want to be on their bad side” Lola whispers it.
She walks over to the crowd of boys. Skylar gets there but she doesn't know what to do and how to act. ”What's your name?” the guy who had called her over asked.
”Skylar Gray” she replied.
”I'm Jessie. It's nice to meet you.”
”Like wise” she didn't want to be asked anymore questions, so she decided to walk away. She went back to Lola and they proceeded walking.
”Jessie called you over” Lola squealed
”Yeah. So?”
”It's a big deal. He is also very popular. He is the second most handsome guy in school. Reign being first of course. They are best friends.”
Skylar really didn't care for all this. She wanted to just focus on her school work. ”Lola, what class do you have first?”
”I have English and you.”
”Just as I guessed. Sciences”
Skylar waited for everyone to go in so she doesn't seat in someone's seat and make an enemy. She went to seat by the benches with Lola until the bell rang. ”See you later.”
