”What gibberish are you doing to me this time?!”Shi Mei bawled as if she was having a death sentence, she struggled from the rope tied in her both hands. Chen Wei left with no choice but to tie Shi Mei, he's sure that Shi Mei would refuse to cooperate. Although, he had no idea of what exactly they were doing now. But he was informed a while ago that if he saw the red fabric raised by Wen Zexi then Shi Mei had something to do with Xue Huan's condition.

”Stay still-”Shi Mei glared at Chen Wei.

”Do you think I can stay still?” Chen Wei had a hard time gripping the other end of the rope.

”Be patient, why are you so cranky. It will not even harm a strand of your hair.”Chen Wei puffed, looking at Xue Huan and Wen Zexi from afar.

”Hello, how can I trust you when you tied my arms and covered my mouth the first time we met. And you're doing it again!”Shi Mei yelled as she looked at Chen Wei and Gong Yan, successively.

Gong Yan walked towards Shi Mei then he cut the rope around Shi Mei's hand.

”Blame yourself for treating yourself so highly-”

”How nice of your words, boastful man.”

”Oh come on, when did I become a boastful man?”

”Always.”Shie Mei said, stretching her arms.

”Do you know why I can't treat you nicely at first?”

”It's because you have a nasty attitude.”Shi Mei answered bluntly.

”Look who's talking.”Shi Mei turned to Chen Wei.

”What? Are you denying it-”

Chen Wei immediately cut his words when Gong Yan let out a heavy sigh as he darted his grey eyes like a ball of ash to him then to Shi Mei. Unknowingly, Shi Mei moved her body to the front and straightened her back. But the two glanced at each and both rolled their eyes at one another.

”Is he a silent type of guy?”Shi Mei asked out of curiosity, referring to Gong Yan.

”Pffffft-silent type-”Chen Wei sealed his lips once again when Gong Yan looked at them.

Shi Mei and Chen Wei remained immovable as they watched Wen Zexi and Xue Huan, moving farther away from them.

Then all of a sudden, Wen Zexi raised a red fabric. Chen Wei looked at Shi Mei.

”Who exactly are you? Do we really share the same clan?”Chen Wei paused momentarily.

”Although we're different at most.”Chen Wei resumed. He's referring to the Beast Clan, his previous family but that was three years ago. He learned from Wen Zexi that Shi Mei possibly put an elixir of heart to Xue Huan and that she's from the Beast Clan. He agreed because their clan was the best when it comes to different elixirs.

”I don't belong to any clan. And if I am an immortal or a cultivator, do you think I'm still here?”Shi Mei said out of frustration. Sounds great, if she could cultivate but she's only an ordinary woman who transported in an unknown place.

Gong Yan and Chen Wei glanced at each other.

”She's actually right. She can end our life in one blow but she's not doing it.”Chen Wei baffled at the thought of it.

Gong Yan was also confused that he didn't even notice Xue Huan and Wen Zexi already in front of them.

”Why are you doing this to me? Who send you?”Xue Huan uttered, clenching his jaw.

”My lady, I know this is rude but did you put an elixir in Xue Huan's heart?”Wen Zexi carefully asked.

”Goodness, I don't know anything! I am not even aware of that elixir!”

”She's making sense.”Gong Yan gave a quick statement, he might not share his thoughts frequently but once he opened his mouth, he's mostly right.

”If she's part of the Beast clan, do you think she's still here with us up to this time. Frankly saying, we can't stand against her if she's a cultivator.”Gong Yan explained that made Wen Zexi and Xue Huan immovable for a minute.

”I was puzzled about Xue Huan's condition for I never encountered nor read about it. But now I know, this illness doesn't exist. Because this condition appears only between Xue Huan and the lady. If Xue Huan is away from her, his heart will thump heavily. And if this takes longer, I assume he's heart will stop eventually.”Chen Wei was in awe, placing his palm on his mouth as he slowly looked at Shi Mei.

”In the simplest way, his heart condition depends on the distance and the time he's away from the lady.”Wen Zexi added, darting his eyes towards Shi Mei.
