When Yang Yun returned home from the palace that evening, he met with a servant who was carrying a tray of food outside the study. As Yang Yun approached, the servant quickly greeted him.
Yang Yun glanced at the food before he asked, ”Is that for my wife?”
”Yes.” the servant replied politely before hinting that his wife had not had her dinner yet.
”Give that to me,” Yang Yun took the tray and entered the study room quietly. He placed the tray of food on the side table and walked to Mingyue. He peeked at what she was doing and saw that she was writing something in her medical journal.
Mingyue had promised that she would share what she had learned when she studied in the other world with her grandfather. After learning about what the other world referred to western medicine, Mingyue thought that it would be wasteful if she did not pass her knowledge to the others. Therefore, she would always find her time to write down her knowledge in her journal.
After writing for a bit, Mingyue sensed that someone was watching her. Her hand that was holding the brush stopped, and she looked up only to find Yang Yun staring at her. ”You're back.”
Yang Yun sighed at her response. ”Why are you still walking around? Didn't grandfather told you to rest a little bit more?”
”I've rested enough. If I don't walk around, I'm afraid that I'll get sick.” Mingyue put the brush down and went to his side. ”How was the ceremony?”
”Everything is fine. The two were crowned as the Emperor and Empress, and the ceremony was smooth,” Yang Yun said.
”This is the first time an event like this happened. I wonder if they can work together?”
”Let's not think about others first,” Yang Yun said as he led his wife to sit down on the chair. ”I heard that you hadn't had your dinner yet.”
Mingyue looked at her husband with an innocent smile on her face.
”Don't give me that look,” Yang Yun frowned.
Jiang Mingyue could only sigh at his response. Ever since she was pregnant, Mingyue found that acting cute to appease him no longer work like it used to be. Mingyue glanced at the food on the table and frowned. ”I don't have an appetite.”
”You still have to eat.” Yang Yun took the bowl of soup and placed it in front of her. ”If you don't like this food, then tell me what you like to eat. I will ask them to prepare them.”
”That's fine,” Mingyue drank a bit of the soup and suppressed the urge to vomit.
Yang Yun looked at his wife with distressed. Seeing that Mingyue would often vomit what she ate, Yang Yun wanted to pull away that bowl of soup from her hand. Looking at the way his wife had grown thinner, he knew that he has to force her to eat. However, forcing her was something that he did not like to do.
