Five days before the wedding, the Crown Princess went out to the city to accompany her cousin, Jiang Mingyue, to Yan Zifu's restaurant. When Princess Lingchen heard her words, she quickly made an appointment for them to visit the restaurant together.

Before the two went to eat, of course, Princess Lingchen stopped by her grandfather's place. When she arrived, her grandfather was treating an elderly woman.

Princess Lingchen had seen the elderly couple coming to their grandfather's place for a few times; thus, even when the elderly woman started to speak gibberish, Princess Lingchen was not surprised.

Her grandfather had once told her how the elder woman had gone crazy after her son had disappeared.

It was Jiang Xiao Tian who brought the couple over. It was said that the couple went out to gather herbs and wild vegetables when they saw Shadow Grass. Once the grass was harvested, the son had disappeared. This event happened just a few years before Mingyue went missing.

If their son was still alive, he should be a teenager.

Han Zhenting watched quietly as his assistants held the elderly woman. He pulled out a few acupuncture needle, and soon, the elderly woman started to relax. Once Han Zhenting finished the treatment, he told his assistants to feed the medicine to the old woman once she wakes up.

”Thank you, Physician Han,” the elderly man called Li Ran, said.

Han Zhenting smiled apologetically. ”I'm sorry. I cannot help your wife to recover from her illness fully.”

”No. You have been a great help,” Li Ran said. ”It has been six years since the treatment began. Although there are times when my wife's sickness would relapse, I can see that her condition has gotten better.”

Han Zhenting sighed. He spoke a few more words with man and came out. Once he saw his granddaughter, the fatigue on his face disappeared. ”Why are you here? Shouldn't you be busy with your wedding preparation?”

Princess Lingchen smiled. ”It was because I was too busy with the preparation that I took a day off. Or else, I might get too tired and stressed out before the wedding.”

Though the Princess had a smile on her face, and her tone was light, Han Zhenting could sense that his granddaughter was not happy as she seemed. He knew that Princess Lingchen was worried about her upcoming wedding.

However, Han Zhenting also knew that no matter what he said to her, his granddaughter will not change her mind. Her stubborn attitude was something that she inherited from her father.

This marriage was something that Princess Lingchen had decided on. Since she had made her decision, Han Zhenting thought that there was nothing he could do but to wish for her happiness. As long as her husband treated her well and fair, Han Zhenting would be satisfied.

”Since you have come here, let your grandfather give you a health check-up,” Han Zhenting said.
