255 Discussing Wedding (2/2)
Until their wedding night came…
Xue Yi Ming finished his bowl of noddles and tilted his head to look at Yang Yun. ”Right. Lin Tian Yu and I were planning to get our marriage certificate next week.”
”Certificate?”
Xue Yi Ming stared at Yang Yun for a few seconds before he realized that Yang Yun probably had no idea about the marriage certificate. He explained a bit about the marriage system in their world and asked, ”Do you want to come along?”
Yang Yun thought about it and nodded. ”Sure.”
The two men chatted a bit before Xue Yi Ming decided to go to bed.
At this time, the cellphone beside him rang. Yang Yun stared at the screen and smiled as he saw that it was his wife. He slid his fingers on the screen, and once he pressed the phone to his ear, he could immediately hear his wife's cheery voice on the other line.
”Mingyue,” Yang Yun said. He switched off the television, stood up from the sofa and went back to his room. Yang Yun sighed when he found Xiao Mi sleeping on his bed. As if he knew that it was his owner on the other line, Xiao Mi let out a meow.
”Is that Xiao Mi?”
”Hmm,” Yang Yun sat down on the bed and asked, ”What are you doing? It's late. Why haven't you sleep yet?”
”I'm going to bed soon,” Mingyue said. ”Yang Yun, I miss you.”
Yang Yun chuckled. ”Well, I miss you too, wife.”
Jiang Mingyue giggled at the other line. ”I tried to talk to my dad today, but he was busy. These past few days, the family was busy with planning my sister's wedding.”
”Take your time. You don't have to rush it,” Yang Yun said. ”We still have three months.”
”Three months isn't that long,” Mingyue said. ”I was afraid that if I continue to delay this matter and tell them just when we were about to leave, then my parents will be sad. They won't have enough time to prepare themselves.”
A small smile curved on Yang Yun's lips. He understood Mingyue the most. His wife is someone who would be considerate towards the people she cared for.
”Then, do you need me to go over and stay with you when you tell them the truth?”
”Thank you. But this matter is something that I have to do myself.” Mingyue paused as she took a deep breath. ”My dad should be free tomorrow. I will try to talk to him again tomorrow.”
