250 Do You Think, Dad Will Kill Us Both Today? (1/2)
When Mingyue arrived at her sister's room, the door was slightly open. Mingyue peeked into the room and saw her sister walking back and forth in her room while mumbling something. Lin Tian Yu was holding her phone tightly, and her expression showed worry.
Mingyue rapped her knuckle on the door and said, ”Sister, why are you still in your room? Let's wait downstairs. Mom said the guests should be arriving soon.”
Lin Tian Yu turned to the door and looked at Mingyue as if she had found her lifesaver. ”Mingyue!”
Jiang Mingyue was surprised when her sister pounced into her out of the blue. ”Sister, what's wrong?”
Noticing that she might have acted too impulsive, Lin Tian Yu retracted her steps. ”Well, did you say that Yang Yun has arrived?”
”Not yet. But they should arrive soon.”
Lin Tian Yu paused to look at the left and right. Then, she pulled Mingyue into the room and shut the door. ”Xue Yi Ming said he'd be coming as well.”
”Un. I know,” Mingyue nodded. ”Yang Yun told me last night. Mom said, dad only decided to stay home once he heard that Brother Xue is coming as well.”
Hearing her sister's words, Lin Tian Yu began to panic again. How was it that she was the last person to know that Xue Yi Ming would be coming as well?
”Hey,” Mingyue grabbed her sister's wrist to stop her from walking around. ”What's wrong with you? Why are you walking around like a headless chicken?” Her brow furrowed once a thought crossed her mind. ”Why do you start panicking once you heard that Brother Xue is coming as well? Did you get into another fight with him?”
Lin Tian Yu stared at Mingyue's face and hesitated. She realized that she had not said anything to her sister about what happened between her and Xue Yi Ming.
”That's not it,” Lin Tian Yu lowered her head to avoid Mingyue's gaze.
”Sister, what's wrong? What did Brother Xue tell you? You're acting very strange.”
”Well, I never get the chance to tell you this,” Lin Tian Yu pulled Mingyue to sit on the bed. ”On the night that you fainted,” she paused and bit her lips, making Mingyue more anxious. ”I sort of told Yi Ming that I liked him.”
Mingyue blinked as she stared at her sister. For a few seconds, she had thought that her hearing might be deceiving her. Mingyue had long known that her sister liked Xue Yi Ming. But instead of telling him about her feelings like a reasonable person would do, her sister would try and pull a few childish tricks, such as dating another man, to test Xue Yi Ming's feelings towards her.
