Then, he turned to Mingyue. ”When we were trying to find the world you're in, we have to depend on your thumb ring to show me the way here. If I entered the portal without any preparation, I might be stuck in another dimension.”
Mingyue's grip on Yang Yun's hand tightened. She could not imagine what will happen if her husband arrived in another world instead. Then, will he spend his life going back and forth, trying to find her?
Yang Yun patted Mingyue's hand to calm her down. Slowly, her grip loosened.
Across them, Li Ran frowned at the thought of the numbers of another dimension different than the world they live in.
”This time, we will have to rely on Xiao Mi to act as our guide,” Yang Yun said.
Xiao Mi meowed again. When Yang Yun looked at his way, Xiao Mi rolled his eyes and closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep.

”Ten years… that is a long time. I have been in this world for six years,” Mingyue said. She tilted her head down as she thought of their family members. She did not think that she can wait for another ten years to see her family. Life is short. And her parents and grandfather are getting older. What if she never goes back in time to see them? Mingyue felt as if something heavy was pressing her heart at these thoughts.
”Then, when is this auspicious date?” Lin Tian Yu asked. ”How much longer are you staying?”
”In four months.”
Lin Tian Yu bit her lips as she heard Yang Yun's answer. Her heart ached at the thought that she will not have much time with her sister.
The four of them listened to Yang Yun talking about creating the portal for a while longer.
Mingyue and her sister stood up as they look at the time. They will need to return before their parents realized that they sneaked out instead of resting at home.
”What's wrong?” Yang Yun pulled his wife aside and asked. ”Don't think that I didn't notice how you been staring at Li Ran today.”
Mingyue stared at Yang Yun with wide eyes. A laugh escaped her as she sensed that Yang Yun might eat something sour earlier. ”It's nothing,” she stared into his eyes and smiled. ”Just that, I feel like he looks familiar.”
