The conversation he had with Chief Ye ran through his head as Yang Yun waited for Mingyue downstairs.

A few days ago, Chief Ye had appeared in this world with Xiao Mi, his wife's black cat, to warn him that they were going to cut off the link between his world and this new world.

Because of the unstable energy in this world, Chief Ye was able to use it and come through the portal when Yang Yun created an array. However, the unpredictable energy would cause calamity to Da Cheng if they did not sever the connection.

If someday, Yang Yun wanted to return to his world with Mingyue, Yang Yun will have to find a new location to create a portal. To find this location, Chief Ye had enchanted Xiao Mi to help them find the way. In the meantime, before Yang Yun decided to return, he cannot create any connection to Da Cheng, to send and receive letters as usual.

Back then, to create a portal to the world where his wife had traveled to, the Nanlin tribe had used an eclipse to borrow their spiritual energy to find the exact world. When they have established a connection, it was easy for Yang Yun and the others to open a portal to both worlds.

However, since the link was no longer available, Yang Yun will need to use another auspicious date to return to Da Cheng. According to Chief Ye, he had less than six months. Or else, he will have to wait for another ten years.

He has to think of a way to let Mingyue memories return to her fast.

When Lin Mingyue walked downstairs, she found Yang Yun in the garden with his mind somewhere else. Her lips curved into a playful smile as she tiptoed to her boyfriend. Then, she put both hands to cover his eyes.

Mingyue leaned down and whispered in his ears, ”Guess who am I?”

Hearing her voice so close to his ear, Yang Yun felt his body stiffened. ”Mingyue.” He grabbed her hands and turned around.

The smile on Mingyue's lips gradually faded when she saw the way his eyes darkened as Yang Yun gave her a look-over. She watched him stand up, and soon, his body towered over hers. Subconsciously, Mingyue swallowed and bit her lips. ”W-what is it? Why are you looking at me like that?”

How could Yang Yun tell her that he felt something ignited in him when he heard her whispering voice so close to his ear? And the way her breath caressed his skin, did not help with his situation at all. If Yang Yun did not control himself well and considered their location, he would pull her into his laps.

Yang Yun blinked once, and the look in his eyes disappeared. ”Nothing. You look beautiful.”

Lin Mingyue lowered her gaze and pushed a few strands of hair behind her reddening ears. ”Thank you. That… should we go now? We still have time before the movie starts. Maybe we can grab something to eat first?”

A frown appeared on his face. ”You haven't eaten yet?”
