Xue Yi Ming turned up the radio as he continued to drive along the quiet street. The radio DJ was talking about a solar eclipse that was expected to happen in a few minutes. Since two days ago, almost everyone in G City was excited when the news had reported that the world would be able to see this rare phenomenon.

”An eclipse, huh?” Xue Yi Ming mumbled to himself. He looked up at the sky and chuckled when he could not see anything. The trees were lining on both right and left side of the road, creating a canopy along the street. It would be impossible for him to see an eclipse now.

Moreover, an eclipse only made him uneasy.

Back then, he was still in the army. Xue Yi Ming was alone as he hung around at his favorite spot near the lake when the moon eclipse happened. He had watched the phenomenon in silence as he snuck to sip a few drops of alcohol. But once the eclipse ended, he saw something fell from the sky and into the lake. He thought that he was dreaming. But after a while, he saw that there was a person at the center of the lake, drowning.

Xue Yi Ming finally snapped out of his trance and dived in to save that person.

When he brought the person ashore, Xue Yi Ming was astonished to find that he had rescued a teenage girl. What was weirder was how the girl was dressed. She was dressed in a light-green colored hanfu. Her appearance was as if she had just appeared from a costume drama.

At that time, because he did not want to be caught drinking, Xue Yi Ming had taken the girl to General Lin's place. With the help of the General's wife, the girl was brought in. A doctor was called to check on the girl.

Once the girl finally woke up, the general's wife started to ask the girl a few basic questions about herself. What was her name? Where were her parents? And how did she get around the military compound?

However, after a series of question, the girl remained silent. She could not remember anything about herself.

It was then that they discovered that the girl had lost her memories. They could not find out much about the girl, except that her name was Jiang Mingyue. They could only find out her name after rummaging through her belongings.

A police report was made. But no one stepped forward as the girl's relative. After a year, the police could not find out anything about her. In the end, General Lin and his wife decided to adopt the girl as their daughter. After all, General Lin's family was fond of the girl. Although she had not remembered anything about herself, the girl was quite smart.

She could remember things after they taught her once. Surprisingly, the girl was quite knowledgeable in Eastern Medicine. However, when they asked how did she have such knowledge, Mingyue could not remember anything.

When Xue Yi Ming recalled his first meeting with the girl, he would always have goosebumps. It might sound ridiculous to everyone else, but he was very sure that he had seen her appearing out of nowhere and into the lake.

No one believed his words when he mentioned this to anyone. Everyone thought that he was too drunk and was imagining things.

Xue Yi Ming pressed his feet on the accelerator and picked up his speed. He planned to get back to the highway soon and returned to his office before peak hours.
