”I understand,” Princess Lingchen nodded. She stood next to the carriage and watched from afar. Because the villagers were afraid of the legend of the Sacrificial Tree, no one dared to wander close to it.
Chief Ye stood the closest to the tree. Not far away behind the old lady were Prince Lu Wei and Yang Yun. Earlier, the Chief had forbidden anyone from stepping too close to her.
