148 Should Not Address Him as a Prince (1/2)
In Han Zhenting's treatment room...
Princess Lingchen sat quietly as she let Chief Ye take her pulse and examined her body with Ying Yi and Ah Zhen by her side, observing the process.
”I couldn't find a trace of the bug in your body,” Cheif Ye said after she finished. She saw the Princess' brightened expression and smiled. ”However, you need to be careful. If someone finds a chance to put in the bug in your body again, the consequences will be dire.”
Princess Lingchen nodded. She thought about something for a while and spoke. ”Chief Ye, before this, my grandfather diagnose that the cold may affect the chance of me getting pregnant in later days.”
”As long as you keep your body warm, and continue to drink the prescription I prepared, your body will be back to health,” Chief Ye said. ”After a year, there should be no problem for you to have a child.”
The Princess let out a breath of relief. As the heir of Da Cheng's throne, how can she not be worried about the matter of her next successor?
”Chief Ye, I am very thankful for your help,” Princess Lingchen said. ”If there is anything I can do to help you, you must come and look for me.”
”Your Highness, you saved my grandchild and gave him protection when he needs it most,” Chief Ye said. ”You don't owe me anything.”
The Princess' lips curved into a small smile. ”Still. If you need anything, you can come and look for me.” She stood up and headed towards the door. ”Chief Ye, will you and Prince Lu Wei headed back to your home tomorrow?”
Chief Ye nodded. ”I have left the village for a long time. We should head back early in the morning. It will be a long journey.”
The truth was that Chief Ye and a few others had left their village in Sui Country for months. When she heard the news that her grandson was not around in Qian Rong and had stayed for months in Da Cheng, she started to worry. In the end, she sent a few men to investigate and found out that Wei Wei was injured.
Chief Ye and a few others made their trip to Da Cheng. During the journey, Chief Ye began to understand the situation between her grandson and his half brother, the new Emperor of Qian Rong. In the end, she wrote a secret letter and sent it to her grandson to see what he was planning to do next.
”Then, I can only wish you to have a safe journey. I can't be around to send you off,” Princess Lingchen said. Tomorrow morning, she will still need to be present in the morning meeting with the emperor and the officials. She can only assign Jiang Xiao Tian to send off her guests.
”You don't need to worry. I understand.”
The door swung open, and the anxious people who were waiting outside the treatment room stood up immediately.
Han Zhenting's expression softened as his gaze met with his granddaughter. He knew that there was no problem arise as he gave his granddaughter a look over. ”How is it?”
Princess Lingchen smiled and told her grandfather what Chief Ye had said earlier. After Han Zhenting heard the Princess' words, his heart started to calm down.
