137 Do We Have a Misunderstanding? (2/2)

Jiang Xiao Tian felt the corner of his mouth twitched as he heard the question. He knew nothing about the elderly's grandchild. Jiang Xiao Tian was sure that they were wrongfully accused. Before he could say anything to defend himself, the woman charged towards him with her staff. Xiao Tian swiftly evaded the woman's attack. He took out a needle and was ready to hit the older woman on a spot that could temporarily paralyze her.

”Commander Jiang! Stop!”

Jiang Xiao Tian's hand stopped midair as he heard a familiar voice. Then, there was a sharp pain hitting the back of his hand, causing the needle in his hand to fall on the ground. Before Jiang Xiao Tian could process what was going on, another pain hit his head. His vision dimmed and turned black.

Yang Yun could only watch as Second Brother fell on the ground with a thud.

Prince Lu Wei unmounted the horse and hurried before Jiang Xiao Tian. He pressed his fingers on Jiang Xiao Tian's wrist and sighed with relief when he could feel his pulse. Then he proceeded to check on the injury on his head. Thankfully, the man was alright.

”Grandmother, I asked you to stop!” Prince Lu Wei said when he lifted his head to the older woman.

”You asked Commander Jiang to stop. You did not say anything to me,” the older woman snorted. ”You stinky boy. You haven't seen me for years, and this is how you greet me?”

Prince Lu Wei swallowed as he looked at his grandmother. He was probably too anxious and momentarily forgotten that of all people in the world; he was only terrified of his maternal grandmother. The Prince immediately knelt on the ground and cupped his hands. ”Grandmother, it has been a while. I hope you're in good health.”

The elder woman replied to him with another snort and turned around.

It was then that Prince Lu Wei noticed that the people around him were still fighting. He stood up swiftly and shouted for them to stop. However, it was no use. No one would listen to him. Prince Lu Wei had no other choice but to turn to his grandmother again. ”Grandmother, ask them to stop. They're my benefactor.”

The older woman looked at the people around her with disapproval. Then she lifted both her hands up. ”Everybody stop!” Her voice was loud enough to startle everyone. In a few seconds, everyone stopped attacking each other and turned to look at the old woman. Their eyes flickered when they saw two men stood beside the elderly.
