Jiang Xiao Tian immediately stood up when he heard the Prince's voice. ”I'm sorry to disturb your rest, Prince Lu Wei,” Xiao Tian bowed. He rose when Prince Lu Wei allowed him to. Jiang Xiao Tian's gaze wavered as his eyes met with Prince Lu Wei's. He noticed that Prince Lu Wei's gaze was familiar. He knew that he had met Prince Lu Wei before. But where?

Jiang Xiao Tian quickly recovered and speak, ”I'm Jiang Xiao Tian, a Commander under Princess Lingchen's command,” he lied.

Prince Lu Wei raised a brow. ”Did the Princess sent you here?”

”No. But, I have a few questions that I need to ask Your Highness.”

Prince Lu Wei thought over it for a moment before he invited Jiang Xiao Tian to sit. The Prince walked to a side table to prepare some tea. When the tea was made, he poured the tea into two cups and handed one to Jiang Xiao Tian. ”Please. Have a taste.”

”Thank you.It is an honor to be able to taste the tea brewed by the Prince of Qian Rong.” Jiang Xiao Tian bowed and turned his body sideways as he drank the tea.

”I'm only an idle Prince in Qian Rong. I have too much free time, and thus, I decided to learn a little bit about tea.” Prince Lu Wei paused as he took a sip from his tea. ”Now tell me, Commander Jiang, what is the purpose of your visit today?”

Jiang Xiao Tian placed the cup carefully on the table. ”Prince Lu Wei, I heard about your agreement with Princess Lingchen.”

The Prince smiled as he heard it. ”Commander Jiang, I don't know what you're talking about.”

Jiang Xiao Tian chuckled. Prince Lu Wei had agreed that he would not mention anything about the Princess' condition. And right now, Jiang Xiao Tian was sure that Prince Lu Wei was playing his part as someone who knew nothing about it.

”I am not interested with the agreement you made with the Crown Princess,” Jiang Xiao Tian said. ”I'm much more interested in your knowledge on Shadow Grass.”

Prince Lu Wei touched the cup with his fingers. ”I might tell the Princess a few stories. But those are merely stories that I heard from my late concubine mother when I was a little boy.”

”Your Highness, you may have heard that Physician Jiang is not only a physician to the princess, but she is also the princess' cousin,” Jiang Xiao Tian smiled. ”And you might have guessed from my name that I am related to Physician Jiang.”

”What is your relationship with Physician Jiang?”

”Physician Jiang is my youngest sister.”

Prince Lu Wei averted his gaze from Jiang Xiao Tian. ”Back then, when I was badly injured during the Spring Hunt, Physician Jiang was the one who healed me. I owe her my life.” He took a deep breath and continued. ”I know that if I did not encounter Princess Lingchen and received emergency treatment from Physician Jiang, I will die. Speak. What do you wish to know? I will try to help you if I can.”
