95 A Bad Feeling (1/2)

Jiang Mingyue saw her husband, Yang Yun as she headed towards her courtyard after a brief visit to the Princess'. Noticing that Yang Yun doesn't seem to see her presence, Mingyue followed his gaze towards the yard where Prince Lu Wei resided.

”What are you thinking about?” Mingyue grabbed her husband's arm and hugged it tightly.

”I'm worried.”

Mingyue glanced towards the prince's courtyard, and then she looked at Yang Yun's face. She knew that the Emperor had commanded both Yang Yun and Vice General Fei Liu to guard both the Princess Lingchen and Prince Lu Wei well.

”What are you worried about?” Mingyue asked. ”The Prince will recover soon. You don't trust my ability?”

Yang Yun faced her with a small smile on his face. ”How can it be? If my wife said he would recover, then, the prince will recover.” He touched Mingyue's chin and pulled her lightly for a kiss.

”Don't worry too much,” Mingyue said after a while. ”With you and Vice General Fei Liu here, nothing would happen. Besides, didn't my brother arranged this trip well? No one would be able to guess that the Princess is here with Prince Lu Wei.”

”You are right,” Yang Yun pulled his wife into his embrace and patted her soft hair. When Mingyue could not see his expression, Yang Yun turned to look towards the prince's courtyard again. His eyes darkened with various thought going through his mind.

The first time Yang Yun saw Prince Lu Wei at the welcoming banquet, Yang Yun could not help but feel that the Prince looked somewhat familiar. Looking at the Prince's body and posture, he knew that the prince was someone who practiced martial arts frequently. However, after observing the prince for a while, Yang Yun could not figure out when or where he had last seen the Prince.

Yang Yun had a feeling that something terrible was going to happen during the Spring Hunt. When they rescued Prince Lu Wei in the hunting ground, Yang Yun's suspicion around the Prince arose again. He was worried that the Prince might self orchestrated to harm himself to get closer to the Crown Princess with an evil intention.

However, the Prince had done nothing to harm Princess Lingchen so far. From the wound on the Prince's stomach, Yang Yun could not deny that a wild animal indeed attacked the Prince. The Prince's life was in danger if the princess' group did not stumble upon him. He could die without Mingyue's treatment. Even with this knowledge, it did not stop Yang Yun from being wary around the Prince.
