24 I Feel Bad For You (1/2)
Yang Yun placed his hand on her chin to force her to look at him. His lips curved into an assuring smile. ”I'm fine. You heard your grandpa.” His tone was gentle and coaxing. ”He has been treating me personally. Don't you believe in him?”
”I believe in my grandfather. It's you that I don't believe in. Who knows what kind of things you've been doing whenever my grandfather wasn't looking.”
Yang Yun placed a hand on his chest, feigning hurt. He laughed when he saw the sour look on her face. ”I might not listen to your grandfather all the time, but haven't I been listening to you?”
Mingyue narrowed her eyes as she looked at him.
He patted the space on the stone bench. ”Come. Help me to sit on this bench.”
Mingyue looked at him questioningly. ”Why?”
”So I can sit right beside you.”
A smile bloomed on her face. She pulled the wheelchair close to the bench. Before she could support Yang Yun to sit on the bench, Yang Yun had lifted his body and sat down. He patted the space beside him and looked at her. ”Sit down.”
Mingyue sat down obediently beside him with a frown. Her eyes widened when she felt him pulling her to his embrace. She lifted her head to look at him, but he pressed his hand lightly on his hair.
”Rest.”
Mingyue stiffened in his arms.
”I feel bad for you. You must be tired running back and forth from the Imperial Infirmary and your grandpa's place to look after me,” Yang Yun explained his action. ”Rest.”
