Kai Xin grabbed onto the assailant's arm and position herself.

Just as she was about to throw the assailant over her shoulder, she heard him hissing, "It's me! Ghost!"

When he released her, she turned and saw a red-faced Ghost with sweat dripping from his forehead. Angered, she punched him in the stomach as hard as she could.

Bending over the pain, he groaned softly, "I probably deserved that..."

He heard that someone was walking towards the door and was about to open it. Grabbing Kai Xin's hand, he hid them away in a corner right before the door was opened.

"Odd..." murmured Kai An as he glanced around the corridor, "I could have swore that I heard something."

An Qi Yan's voice could be heard from inside, "If there's no one, then quickly go back to your guest. Dinner will be served shortly."

Scratching his head, Kai An went back into the house.

When he heard the door clicked, Ghost released the breath he was holding.

Glaring at him, Kai Xin asked impatiently, "What are you doing here?"

Glaring back at her, he snapped, "You didn't answer your phone!"

"It was low on battery so I turned it off. What?"

Ghost sighed. He closed his eyes for a second to keep his temper in check.

When he opened them, he looked at her ruefully while rubbing his stomach, "I'm sorry. I was busy with my own stuff that I forgot to tell you."

Curtly, she asked, "What?"
