109 A never-ending chase (2/2)

Despite being late that night, Zoey still got the privilege spot because they won a game on their team building activity that early afternoon. But the unfortunate thing about that spot is she needs to sit beside Carl for the entire night.

”Now that my night is complete and beautiful, I have how a lavish appetite to eat.” People around them thought that he was talking literally but after what Polly told her about this guy, she knew that his words he it's double meaning other than it's literal translation.

Zoey suddenly regret being too competitive that time because her supposed to be prize turned to her nightlong punishment.

Nickel, on the other hand, lost his appetite because he has been losing for her the entire afternoon. He already thought worst of worse that she probably drown into the water or run away. He already got a plan because the only problem is that he girl he wants to confess with is missing in action that whole afternoon.

After finishing wants on her plate Zoey excused her and returned to the back garden f the resort, at least here she can stay and meditate alone. Little did she know that one the other side of the garden was where Nickel's surprise resides? It is a good thing that Zoey stays in one place and didn't tour around because of she did, another problem will arise for Nickel to solve.

Back on the banquet, the dinner party has almost near to end, it is already their awarding ceremony their one-day teambuilding. And as the director in charge, Nickel needs to present the awards and prizes to the lucky participants.

”The criterion for judging is all based on all the votes we gathered. Everyone is a candidate, the one who got the most vote wins.” This is a little introduction given by the host.

Nickel has been standing there for almost half an hour, winners got their only chance to take a picture with him that is they are making most out of it, especially female winners.

”My prayers have been answered, at last. I will make this picture my wallpaper and print it to hang in my room.” Said by one winner.

”For out last two awards, the Goddess of the day and night goes to Ma'am Zoey from accounting department.” All in accounting department applause from their manager's victory. The so-called competition between May and Zoey is like a calculus quiz bee between a ten year old kid versus an in-born mathematician.

This one of the reason why May suddenly add this title after she confirmed that Zoey will nit be attending the event. She knew that her beauty surpass the others if Zoey is not around. But of course to her surprise, Nickel really brought her when he arrived.

”Ma'am Zoey? Does anyone know where Ma'am Zoey is?” asked by the female host, when no one can tell where she is, Nickel whispered to her to let the award stay there and give it her when she arrives.

”Next award is the Mister of the day and night goes to Director Fuentes.” A thunderous round of applause explode inside the banquet hall. This category was a landslide pool for Nickel because both male and female voted him. No other candidate.

”Too bad that our Goddess of the day and night is not here.” Said the male host.

After the awarding ceremony, the hosts wrap up the party and give thanks to everyone who is involved in the project.

Nickel hurriedly rush and tried to find where Zoey is as he still have one agenda to fulfill.

Hopefully his plan will not be put in vain because he really wanted to stop this chase with her.
