98 Despite Situation (2/2)
”Zoey, I haven't seen your teddy bear, where is it?” Zick started his interrogation
”Oh! I think you left it somewhere in the playground. Maybe someone took it and thought that it was abandoned stuff there.” Zoey casually answered her brother from asking where on earth is her bear.
”Really? You played there despite this typhoon?” it was in the middle of August and at that time typhoons passed by the Philippine area of responsibility. And because of that, it was already normal that Metro Manila will experience heavy rains on those times.
”I mean, yeah! I played there when it wasn't raining.” Zoey was already lost from her fear that her brother is busting her from lying in his face.
”Okay! If that's what you said. But I must tell you that I saw America carrying the same teddy bear you got. Mom told us how hard it was for her to buy that teddy bear because it only has ten bears for that edition.”
Zoey knew that her brother would sense if there is something off because she even opens her mouth so to save her from long explanations she will just try to solve this by herself.
She put a hand towel on hot water and swipe it ups to Nickel's body. Nickel instantly regain from that hot hand towel compress but Zoey is still worried because Nickel is still below the normal body temperature.
”What should I do?? What should I do?” she repeatedly asking herself. She was rubbing her hands and press it her ears but still, his body is still the same.
”Ahhhh! Whatever!” Suddenly Zoey removed the sheets and lay beside the shivering man. ” I will only do this to give you my body heat. Zoey disregards the fact that Nickel is not wearing anything except his wet boxer shorts. His bare torso touched her delicate skin which gave her electric shock from somewhere in her chest. ”I will stop this after you regain your normal body temperature.
Minutes after minutes, the two was quietly hugging each other under the layers of blankets. Zoey, on the other hand, didn't feel hot from laying underneath the blankets on a summer night because Nickel's body is already cooling her. They were like the opposite of each other. Nickel being the cold one and Zoey the latter and because of that Zoey feel asleep under that situation.
