Evil Monarch’s Innate Evil Dao fell in neither the category of celestial or demon. It is in a category of its own. The totem pattern represented only its surface, its essence was still the Dark Age’s Daos. What Heaven had derived was just the surface of the true Daos.
Then, he found Innate Celestial Monarch’s and Innate Demon Monarch’s heavenly books. Both of which he had exited the lights very quickly. His brows were locked as he realized the heavenly books of the Deity Kings all recorded only superficial knowledge of their arts, the true essences of the Deity Kings’ arts were not elucidated.
The Daos of the Deity Kings were all complete Daos to begin with, they weren’t made of totem patterns. The totem pattern Daos were just creations based on the innate Daos so they could teach their disciples the Daos they cultivate. Even Heaven couldn’t have derived the complete Innate Celestial Dao and Innate Demon Dao.
Heaven sure had many limitations. After all, Heaven was the innate god born from the worship of postnate living beings. Although the worships had Heaven born as powerful as a Dao God, the worships have also restricted Heaven’s achievements at the same level. Heaven is unable to decipher the ancient cultivation system.
Zhong Yue recollected his thoughts. Although the knowledge in the heavenly books was incredible, almost at the peak of the totem pattern cultivation systems, they were still far inferior to the Deity Kings’ complete innate Daos.
The totem patterns were created to elucidate the ancient innate gods, a language used to interpret the Daos they represented. The totem patterns that Great Sui created were symbols to begin with. And these symbols were the shapes and forms that imitated and represented the innate gods.
Zhong Yue thought. The innate gods were the Daos, they were the powers. Which means, imitating the innate gods would be imitating the powers of the Daos. The advantage of the totem pattern cultivation system was the quick and easy learning for cultivation, but the disadvantage was also clear — a totem pattern cultivator would never be able to grasp the true innate Daos.
Just like drawing a circle with polygons; a hexagon would look similar to a circle; a triacontakaihexagon 1was even closer to the shape of a circle; a megagon would almost be like a circle, but it still wouldn’t be a true circle.
The totem patterns were the polygons, the more edges the polygons had, the closer the polygons were to the circles. But a circle had no edges, a polygon would never be a circle.
Such was the limitation of the totem pattern cultivation system.
The Deity Kings were born from the Daos of the cosmos, they represented the innate Daos itself. Whereas Heaven was the totem pattern innate god born from the worship of postnate living beings, representing the peak of the totem pattern cultivation system. There was still a fine line for Heaven to break through the limitation of the totem patterns to reach to the innate Daos.
Thus, the arts of the Deity Kings Heaven had derived would never be up to the heights of the Deity Kings.
For two million years, the worship of postnate living beings gave birth to him, and also restricted him.
Zhong Yue sat down quietly, supporting his head with his hands as he submersed himself in his thoughts.
Heaven’s weakness was clear as crystal. Heaven represented the peak of the totem pattern cultivation system, just like the absolute rational side of Dao Venerate Fu Min. After all, Dao Venerate Fu Min was already the highest peak of postnate living beings.
At his stage, there wasn’t any path ahead left to be walked anymore; there wasn’t anything left to achieve.
Even opening the seventh secret realm and creating the Seven Paths Reincarnation was nothing other than an increase in prowess. There wasn’t any other way to cultivate the true innate Daos to be on the same level as the ancient Deity Kings.

But the restrictions were devastating as well, other than the limited lifespan of the postnate living beings, there was still the impossibility of achieving the true innate Daos.
Dao Venerate Fu Min was an insurmountable mountain, one that Zhong Yue would never be able to stand above.

He now knew the reason that limited the postnate living beings’ achievement, and the impossibility of overcoming it. The highest achievement, the greatest level, and the strongest peak the postnate living beings could ever go were to be on par of where Dao Venerate Fu Min once stood.
To surpass Heaven, to surpass Dao Venerate Fu Min, one would have to surpass the totem pattern cultivation system. To jump out from the frame of the totem pattern cultivation system, to go beyond the Heavenly Daos and break free from the restrictions.
In order to do so, the only way was to become an innate god and break free from the shackles of mortality.
The only way was to become a Deity King, to become the true innate Dao!
To turn the countless totem patterns into one single entity, to turn them into the true innate Daos!
