Chapter 1091: Unable To Do Anything Right

For dozens of days, the Heavenly River Military Camp put up the No War sign. No matter how much the generals of the Heaven Breaching Fortress and Purple City tried to taunt them, no one answered them.

King Zi Guang pondered, not knowing what Mo Yin was up to.

Mu Xiantian’s descendants were all experts among experts. None of them were weaker than Mu Suge, Mu Suwu, and the other princes, some were even Imperial Emperors!

Mu Xiantian had been eyeing the throne for a long time now; his plans could be traced a long way back in time. He even hide his descendants’ existence from his most trusted advisor, King Zi Guang.

The army of princes was lead by Mu Suxian and Mu Sutian. They were two Imperial Emperors and were taught hand in hand by Mu Xiantian himself. Their prowesses were on par with the likes of Long Zhi and the others.

But the hundred million princes were here to battle, they urged King Zi Guang to ignore the No War sign and launch the battle on the Heavenly River Military Camp.

After all, they were Mu Xiantian’s sons, King Zi Guang would have to give them some face and accept their requests. Whenever the princes went to challenge, King Zi Guang would have to ready the armies properly in case Mo Yin suddenly launched an ambush on them.

However, he wasn’t Zhong Yue after all. Armies under his command were much slower, but on the other hand, it was also much safer. It was the princes that were growing impatient over the long waiting time.

“Reporting to the commander, the Prince Lu has gone to taunt the enemies!” A general rushed in to report and King Zi Guang quickly said, “Tell the prince to remain clam, I will aid him with the armies.”

The general shook, “Commander, Prince Lu lead a few hundred princes and launched an attack to the Heavenly River Military Camp. None of us could stop them.”

King Zi Guang’s face changed slightly, he quickly summoned the armies while shouting, “Foolish! How can he rush out of the base without my command? Quick, prep the soldiers!”

Just as his order was passed down, loud clamors could be heard coming from the outside. King Zi Guang immediately knew that things were turning sour. He quickly ordered the generals to ready their forces while he led Zhong Yue’s Xian Tian Royal Guards out of the Heaven Breaching Fortress.

“Commander, the enemy has taken down the No War sign. Prince Lu and the other princes were killed!”

A general crawled his way through the battlefield and shouted, “Prince Xian and Prince Tian were raging, they have brought the hundred million princes to the frontline!”

King Zi Guang was shocked, he stomped his feet and scolded, “Fools! Men, with me!”

The Heaven Breaching Fortress’s and Purple City’s generals readied their forces and followed King Zi Guang to the Heavenly River Military Camp. However, the Purple City’s soldiers had only been to a few wars, they were much slower and were soon left behind.

King Zi Guang was in a hurry to save Mu Sutian, Mu Suxian, and the other princes. He couldn’t care to wait longer for the Purple City’s armies and so led the Heaven Breaching Fortress’s armies toward the Heavenly River Military Camp first.

Outside of the Heavenly River Military Camp, the fortress’s gates were rammed open and the fortress was empty with only a prince waiting in it.

King Zi Guang marched the armies into the fortress and the prince smiled when he saw him, “Mister Zi Guang, we’ve taken down the Heavenly River Military Camp. Big brother ordered me to stay and deliver a message to mister. The Heavenly River Military Camp is now empty, those that were left were the elderlies and weaklings. Mo Yin is afraid of our power and has already made the run!”

King Zi Guang was enraged, he asked, “Where are Mu Sutian, Mu Suxian, and the others?”

“Chasing after the losers, they are on the losers’ tails.”

King Zi Guang grew even angrier, he ordered his men, “Tie him up!”

The soldiers stepped forth and tied the prince down tight.

King Zi Guang entered the fortress and sure enough, the Heavenly River Military Camp was empty with only a few warships abandoned behind by Mo Yin during his escape.

“These warships left behind by Mo Yin, they must be part of his plan. We will not use these warships. Where are our own warships?” King Zi Guang asked.

The Heaven Breaching Fortress had its own naval fleet. Immediately, they cast out their own warships but there weren’t many of them. King Zi Guang ordered the armies to board the warships and sailed deeper into the Heavenly River.

The warships traveled for a distance of 10 planets and suddenly, they could hear noises coming from the riverbanks. King Zi Guang looked around and saw warships emerging from the bottom of the river. They were filled with Heaven Court’s soldiers, they ignored the Heaven Breaching Fortress’s warships and went for the Purple City’s armies who were just arriving at the riverbanks!

The leading Imperial Emperor commanded tens of thousand vanguards and tore the Purple City’s forces into many blocks and pieces.

Then, the Heaven Court’s armies followed behind and slaughtered the Purple City’s soldiers block by block. In just a few moments, the Purple City’s armies had suffered enormous casualties.

But their defeat was only starting. When their lack of training and low morale were met with a terrible defeat, the soldiers immediately fled to save their own lives.
