Chapter 901 - Reincarnating A Hundred Times (1/2)
Goddess Hou Tu, who established the Reincarnations, and the first innate god to shed off her past body and became a Dao God, and also the first to enter The Impossible World.
Such an existence, and yet, she was just a Deity King. Above her stood another terrifying existence, one who ruled over all the other Deity Kings, commanded their powers and making this ancient ship possible!
Although Goddess Hou Tu was now at a level way above than where she was in the Dark Age, she was still feeling incredibly uneasy against the only ruler of the Dark Age. Else, her past body, Goddess Shen Hou, wouldn't have stepped in and interrupted his revival ceremony.
The Deity Kings of the Dark Age are all innate gods born from the heaven and earth. The innate celestial gods and innate demon gods stood as eternal rivals from birth, each and every Deity King had their own cultivation arts and techniques and controled an Innate Dao of their own. Zhong Yue suddenly thought, That said, this sole ruler of the Dark Age, what makes him qualified to lead all of the Deity Kings? What was the Innate Dao he controlled?
The Innate Yin Yang? Innate Five Elements? Was it the Heaven Dao?
Or that he was able to control all of the Innate Daos, he was the first Innate Saint Spirit that came into existence along with the birth of this universe?
The Saint Spirits were the coalescence of every spirit in this heaven and earth. The Innate Saint Spirit Bodies were just Saint Spirits in the aspects of Yuan Shen, but what if there was an innate god who was a Saint Spirit?
There were only sparse records of the Dark Age. Zhong Yue only saw it from the murals in the Lei Zhe Galaxy's ancient saint palace. The murals recorded some part of the prehistoric era. In particular, the fifth mural depicted a battle involving the Great Sui. It was battle that the battlefield painted in dragon blood.
Ancient Lei Zhe God himself took part in the battle, but even he was heavily wounded as a price for their victory in the hard-fought battle.
It may be possible that this battle is related to the end of the Dark Age!
(TN: Refer to Chapter 738).
Zhong Yue and the other plunged into madness, they hadn't eaten or drinken, let alone sleeping. The trio was devoid of energy to care for anything else but the ancient ship.
However, the ancient ship's Dao patterns touched upon a wide range of Daos, more than hundreds. Each of the Dao was left behind by a Deity King in the Dark Age, and they had caused huge problems to the trio's study.
As the saying went: Every expert had their own field of expertise; Zhong Yue, Yin Fanxuan, and Feng Xiaozhong have each studied and cultivated the Space Dao before. Thus, they were able to grasp the innate flesh wings' abstrusities so quickly, but this was not the same for the other Daos.
An individual's time and energy were in every sense, limited. No one could master all of the Innate Daos. Even when Zhong Yue could be said to be an all-rounder in the cultivation of Daos, in truth, he was only proficient in eight Daos, namely: Yin, Yang, Celestial, Demon, Lightning, Yi, Space, and Time.
Anything that went beyond this scope would be a new and strange field of study to him. Sure enough, he would face huge problems trying to grasp them.
Furthermore, his Innate Celestial Dao, Innate Demon Dao, and Innate Yi Dao, were nonexistent in this ancient ship. The only useful area of research he could manage was just the Innate Daos of Tai Yin, Tai Yang, and Time, as well as the Innate Lightning Dao controlled by Shi Long.
The Innate Saint Spirit Body possessed a high affinity for the Daos, but Yin Fanxuan's intelligence alone wasn't enough to help her understand every Innate Dao. Thus, she also needed Feng Xiaozhong and Zhong Yue's help.
Feng Xiaozhong was unswayed, nothing could influence him even by the slightest now. He had an unworldly sense to pick up the most minute details to arrive at the truest nature of everything. Although his knowledge was much wider and deeper than the rest of the two, it would still take him much longer to do it all on his own.
Not just that, but he also liked to experiment on himself, a kind of mental illness that would bring a considerable amount of danger to him. Along the years of studying the ancient ship, they've touched on the Space Dao, Time Dao, Tai Yin Dao, Tai Yang Dao, and Lightning Dao; and with no exception, Feng Xiaozhong had performed all kinds of experiments on himself with the Daos.
Dissecting his innate flesh wing was still minor when compared to all the other things he had done.
One time, after he had cultivated the Dao of Time Light, he formed a Time Light Bell and cast it to its fullest, causing the bell to shine nonstop across space. He tried to break the time and space, and return to the ancient days where he would capture a young Heavenly Monarch to research.
As a result of this event, Feng Xiaozhong was nearly killed by the flow of time. It was only because of Zhong Yue and Yin Fanxuan, who mustered all they had to bring him back, that he was able to still be here, well and alive.
Then, Feng Xiaozhong attempted to experiment on the Daos of Tai Yang and Tai Yin. The Tai Yin Dao formed into a Tai Yin bright pearl and the Tai Yang Dao into a Tai Yang bright pearl. Feng Xiaozhong nurtured the Tai Yang and Tai Yang pearls into pupils of an eye. He opened up a hole on the left temple of his head and tucked the twin-pupil eye into it. Taking it as his third eye.
Then, he did the same for the right temple of his head. He also shaved his head and placed one on the back of his head.
There was also a pupil on each of his palms. As it seemed now, he looked just like a monster, but according to him, he said this would allow him to see and research everything around him with greater clarity and efficiency.
However, he still lacked the Fuxi True Form. Without it, he couldn't balance the Yin and Yang and thus, Zhong Yue and Yin Fanxuan watched as his eyes went beyond his control—his head exploded like a watermelon and his hands as well!
Even then, this madman was not yet dead. When his head and hands grew back, he requested Yin Fanxuan to join him in suppressing Zhong Yue so that he could experiment it on Zhong Yue.
"Don't worry, with me here, your husband will not die!" He said so as he comforted Yin Fanxuan.
Naturally, Yin Fanxuan declined the madman's mad request. Although Zhong Yue wouldn't die, the look would be incredibly strange as well.
Soon enough, the trio had reached a bottleneck, they would need a long time to resolve the other mysteries on this ship.
The trio could be said to be the strongest combination ever, but even they couldn't crack all the other secrets on this ship any time soon.
"The rest of the Dao patterns are too profound. Let's move on to the Dao bones first!"
The madman's eyes were glimmering as he said, "The Dao bones are the strongest of all in this ancient ship. We first cultivate the Dao bones, then travel back to the ancient days and capture a little Heavenly Monarch for research!"
Zhong Yue and Yin Fanxuan were both at a loss for words. Yin Fanxuan asked, "Senior martial brother, are you sure that after cultivating the innate Dao bones, we can travel back to the ancient times and not die?"
"How can you know without trying?" The madman's eyes were filled with the color of fresh blood, it seemed like he would've lost his control and gone mad anytime soon now. Clearly, he had thought of his experience of getting dragged back into a hundred thousand years ago by the evil presence.
