Chapter 792 - Jellyfish (1/2)
Their hearts sank; the pseudo Imperial Granary's totem patterns were just like ribbons. From the front to the back and around them, these totem carvings floated everywhere and isolated them in this strange dimension.
Behind them, Bi Yuan kept his spear away and the path Bi Yuan had opened by piercing through the seal slowly closed.
"Let's go!"
A disciple shouted as he charged forward only to disintegrate upon touching the totem pattern seals.
In front of everyone, this disciple had disappeared just like that among the alluring and colorful totem patterns seal.
And just like that, the death of a god.
"Don't move recklessly!"
With cold sweat all over, Bo Di said with a sore voice, "The seals contain a power beyond our level! Stay calm and work together to figure a way out!"
Everyone calmed down, but after they examined these seals, their expressions did not look good at all!
The ribbons formed by these seals were layered together and even when the totem patterns were extremely clear, they failed to comprehend and decipher these seals!
"These are Imperial Emperor level totem patterns…."
As they were all beginning to despair, Xi He suddenly shrieked, "A totem pattern ribbon is floating towards us!"
Unlike the other types of seals, the seals here were not fixed; these alluring totem pattern ribbons were actually Dao totem patterns that were connected to each other. Thus, when one of them changed position, the others followed suit, resulting in them to be constantly transforming.
Like jellyfish, these totem pattern ribbons floated from one place to another, bringing tremendous changes to the seals as they passed them.
Hence, even if they managed to decipher the secrets behind one totem pattern seal, it would not be sufficient for them to get out, and that was assuming that they even understood these totem pattern seals in the first place!
"Come with me!"
Suddenly, Zhong Yue stood up and said, "Follow closely or you will die!"
He waited for a while until everyone focused their attention on him before he started moving. He began launching totem patterns into the seals that surprisingly did not conflict with these jellyfish-like seals, instead merging with them.
His totem patterns actually connected with the pseudo Imperial Granary's totem pattern seals and turned into the jellyfish's tentacle.
Sweat dripped down Zhong Yue's forehead. As his fingers moved quickly, he flicked even more totem patterns out and this tentacle grew longer and wider with each totem pattern.
Instead of trying to remove the seals, he was creating a new one in an attempt to imitate the pseudo Imperial Granary's seal to create his own totem pattern seal ribbons.
Meanwhile, the others strictly followed every footstep he made while he was doing this.
When Dong Ah looked backward, what he saw scared his soul off out of his body, "Senior Martial Brother Yi, the seal ribbon is getting closer and closer! It's about to touch us!"
Zhong Yue ignored him completely while he swung his hands, creating even more totem patterns that were flickered into the tentacle.
Behind them, the pseudo Imperial Granary's seal ribbon continued to close in and the shocked and scared disciples could vaguely see the ribbon vibrating at high speed.
With each vibration, the dimension was torn apart and the dimension turned into the tiniest yet sharpest blades that flew everywhere.
Bo Di bit his lips and with a sudden swing, he wrapped Dong Ah and the others in his psyche, throwing them into his Yuan Shen Secret Realm before turning into a demonic crow that landed on Zhong Yue's shoulder to distance himself as much as he could from the deadly ribbon.
"Senior Martial Brother Yi, Mister Yi! The ribbon is near!" shouted Bo Di desperately.
Zhe—
After being touched by a tiny blade, the lower hem of his robe turned into dust without a sound.
Zhong Yue, however, did not flinch as he continued throwing totem patterns into his own totem pattern ribbons while Bo Di watched nervously. His heart pounded even quicker when the blades were getting even closer to both of them.
And just as the seal ribbon was about to swallow them whole, Zhong Yue finally moved a step forward onto the totem pattern ribbon he created and said, "Get down."
Bo Di immediately jumped off his shoulder and onto the totem pattern ribbon. He looked around and noticed that this ribbon was moving around like a real tentacle. Each time it waved, changes occurred onto the seals but the seals did not conflict with the other totem pattern ribbons at all.
The ribbon Zhong Yue created felt like it grew right from the pseudo Imperial Granary and merged with the other seals. As such, this tentacle did not try to wrap around the other tentacles and with that, they escaped death.
Bo Di then let everyone out once it was safe again. Everyone stood on this ribbon Zhong Yue created where other alluring ribbons surrounded them and the end of this path filled with ribbons was a gigantic light ball of the size of a planet.
This massive light ball acted as a guiding point for these ribbons; wherever it passed, the ribbons would follow. These light balls circled passed each other and locked the entire surrounding with seals.
They felt like they had all entered a world filled with jellyfish, but what was odd was that when looking from the outside in, one would not be seeing this scene at all.
"Mister Yi, can you break these seals?" asked a trembling goddess.
To her disappointment, Zhong Yue shook and said, "No. I can only merge ourselves into these seals and become a part of them. As long as we don't walk away from this ribbon I created, we will all be safe."
