The palace became steeped in chaos; King Geng's followers scattered in fear as soon as they heard Zhong Yue's voice. They were like prey that met with their greatest predator and hurriedly went to notify King Geng.

Zhong Yue waited outside the palace for a while and not long later, he noticed that the palace had become silent again.

Then, he heard a cold voice, "Evil God Zhong, do you really think you are a god now? How dare you come here! Are you really that confident that I will not kill you?"

Before he finished his words, Qi Practitioners rushed out from the palace and they formed two lines in front of the gate, each had a serious expression on their faces. Then, King Geng walked out of the gate slowly with an expression that clearly showed that he was unhappy.

"Why is King Geng so angry at me?"

The expression of King Geng darkened. At first, he had been scared off by Goddess Shen Hou. Whatever he said was just to threaten Zhong Yue and he did really not mean what he said. At that time, he decided that if Zhong Yue really came to visit him, he would only complete the oath if Zhong Yue was not killed by him.

In just a short time, the altar was prepared. Zhong Yue and King Geng cleaned themselves up to prepare for the ceremony.

The altar, however, did not include the Realm and Heavenly Monarch to be worshipped at.
