Chapter 604 - Deity Overlord, Sacrificed! (1/2)

On the coffin, Lord Kun, Zhu Jiumu and Wen Changgong ran quickly. As soon as they entered the ritual, they felt that their energy started to lose control, their soul was going to fly out of their body and merge with the ritual and turn into a part of the power supporting the ritual.

"Such terrifying ritual! What is this?"

Lord Kun's expression stricken slightly, he immediately shrunk himself and said, "Be careful, do not cast any techniques like the Avatar! The larger you are, the stronger the power you will face!"

Right away, both Zhu Jiumu and Wen Changgong shrunk their body in shock. Fortunately for them, although their energy was about to lose control, the centre of the ritual was not on the coffin but on the lamp floating in front of Zhong Yue, thus, posing little threat to them.

On top of the lamp, as soon as Wei Xue God flew out from the lamp, he was immediately immobilized by the power of the ritual; his blood ocean got evaporated and turned into raw energy that merged into the altar in Black Mountain.

The amount of blood in the blood ocean decreased rapidly; tremendous power sealed the movements of Wei Xue God, trapped him in one spot and no matter how hard he tried, he failed to escape!

Wei Xue God roared angrily and one after another Wei Xue God emerged from the blood ocean while the blood ocean turned into a huge face that started to fight back against the power of the ritual but all of these were in vain.

Even a god could not even escape from the centre of the altar!

The trio were in shock upon this scene, they looked at each other and continued proceeding towards their destination. Just when they were about to leave the coffin cover, a nine headed celestial being appeared at the other end of the coffin cover and halted them.

"Shi Buyi!"

Lord Kun humphed and he whispered to the other two, "He is now a monster god! Wen Changgong, stop him!"

Right away, Wen Changgong flew up, swung his pike and charged towards Shi Buyi as he shouted, "Shi Buyi! Your race will also be sealed by Zhong Yue, are you still planning to help him and sit back when your race is going to be destroyed?"

Wen Changgong's pike possessed incredible power; back in West Barren, when he pointed his pike at Zhong Yue, Zhong Yue felt incredible killing intent overwhelmed him and an illusion of the bloody sunset in the desert presented in front of him. However, on the altar of Black Mountain where the power of ritual surged everywhere, Wen Changgong's power was greatly weakened and it was no longer as impactful as it was.

On the other side, Shi Buyi swung the Eight Extreme Malefic Weapons in his eight arms, charged back at Wen Changgong and replied, "The blood flowing in we monster is the same as human, we all have ordinary blood flowing in us, yet we monsters managed to triumph throughout these years, climbing higher and higher and now, we are standing at the same position as you celestial races. So, tell me how are we monsters going to be affected? By then, we monsters will be ruler of this world and the humans will still be slaves to us, of course I will help him!"

"You monsters dare to dream to achieve something even we celestial race failed to do!? Such stubborn creatures!"

Wen Changgong shouted, stared at Shi Buyi with his angry eyes and two extremely sharp golden needles flew out from his eyes. The needles were something forged from the Solar Divine Ray but unlike Zhong Yue's Solar Divine Saber, his Solar Golden Needles were much more smaller. The needles however, were much more condensed with power and they outperformed the saber in other ways!

To Wen Changgong's dismay, before the needles could even reach Shi Buyi, they disappeared without a sign as they were disintegrated and merged into the ritual.

Wen Changgong had a shock upon seeing this but Shi Buyi also had a shock; Wen Changgong's attack was out of his expectation and if the golden needles were not disintegrated, Shi Buyi will definitely be injured and the next moment will be his final moment.

As someone who ascended into a god way earlier than Shi Buyi, Wen Changgong's power was much stronger, thus, his techniques and equipments will be stronger as well. Once caught of guard, the two needles would inflict heavy injuries to Shi Buyi.

A crack then appeared on the forehead of Shi Buyi as nine Ming King's celestial eyes emerged, shooting nine lasers towards Wen Changgong. This was the power of Ming King's celestial eyes and it could be considered as the strongest technique of his. However, these nine lasers suffered the same fate as the golden needles of Wen Changgong; they vanished and got absorbed by the ritual!

"This is a very strange place, we can't use our techniques here!"

Shouted Wen Changgong as he swung his halberd, flapped his wings and circled around Shi Buyi, attacking him with continuous fast attacks. In just a blink of an eye, he delivered few hundred attacks and he warned the other two, "It is best for us to attack in melee, gentlemen, be careful!"

Lord Kun looked around, examined the totem carvings of the ritual and he shouted, "Lord Demon, you must hold yourself at all cost! Do not summon the demonic tree and the black coffin back or we will all be trapped once the array formation is fully activated!"

Immediately, Lord Demon and Tuz Bawk's expression changed; they had the intention of summoning the demonic tree and coffin back after Lord Kun and the others entered the Black Mountain for it will be very energy consuming for them to keep the demonic tree and coffin activated.

But now, they had no choice but to try their best after Lord Kun realized the dangers.

If they kept the demonic tree and coffin away, the array formation will be fully operating and by that time, Lord Kun and the other two in the Black Mountain will disintegrate and turn into raw energy for the ritual.

"Lord Kun, can you sense your Divine Wing Saber now?" asked Zhu Jiumu suddenly.

Lord Kun quickly shook his head and replied, "It's very close but I still can't get in touch with my saber now. I need to get even closer so that I could retrieve my saber back and destroy Zhong Yue in one strike!"

Without hesitation, Zhu Jiumu drew his bow and shot an arrow towards Zhong Yue. In the next moment, the arrow reached to the front of Zhong Yue's chest but a godly sword appeared from nowhere and knocked the arrow away.

It was young Xuan Yuan! He stood behind Zhong Yue, channeled power into his sword and blocked Zhu Jiumu's attack. His face however, was a bit pale after that.

"Xuan Yuan, do not be afraid, do not overthink. All you have to do is visualize the divine sword." said Zhong Yue gently.

He then said again, "With that power of the divine sword of Human Sovereign, you are strong enough to protect me."

While he talked, arrows after arrows flew towards him in incredible speed but young Xuan Yuan stood right there, swung his sword around and knocked the arrows away, creating loud and frequent noises.
