Chapter 171: First and Last Warning (1/2)

Rex and Adhara came out of the cave with heavy breaths, they manage to get out of the cave without substantial injury.

The black spiders follows them until the end of the cave, but they didn't go out.

It's not that they're afraid of the light,

But their eyes look to the right as their bodies emit a black aura, the horde of black spiders then run back inside hurriedly.

Seeing this, Rex frowns, 'They're scared? But what are they scared off?'

Their fear aura got sensed by Rex thanks to his Bleak Sense, it will notify Rex if any living being felt fear around him.

”What happened to you? Where are those black spiders came from?”, Edward asks in confusion, he didn't see any black spiders when he left them.

Kyran is leaning sitting on the ground and lean on a rock, he already felt better now.

Adhara puts her hands on her waist in exhaustion and said, ”They come out of nowhere”

”Alright, this cave is filled with black spiders lets check the other one”, Rex said before the group finds another cave.

Prof. Nolan is currently smoking beside a car, his job here is to supervise the researchers and scientists regarding the canyon.

With the help of Awakened, he didn't scared of anything.

But while he was smoking, a guy approached him from the side casually.

He looks at the guy who approached him casually with a frown, he can instantly smell trouble just by looking at him.

”Prof. Nolan, may I join you for a smoke?”, the guy said.

While squinting his eyes, Prof. Nolan takes out a lighter and replied, ”Yes”

The guy then takes out his smoke before Prof. Nolan lights it with his lighter, he then leans on the car with a cigarette in hand.

Prof. Nolan looks at him and asks, ”What are you doing here? Do you have permission?”

”I'm not here for the canyon don't worry, I just want to ask a few questions if you don't mind”, the guy said with an innocent smile.

But then, his smiling expression turns serious, ”Is Rex Silverstar here?”

”Who might that be? I don't recall any Rex coming here”, Prof. Nolan lied casually.

He's not afraid of the guy in front of him even when the guy in front of him emits his aura, there are many FAA members here and Prof. Nolan is not worried.

Hurting him here would mean death to the guy,

”Please Professor, I didn't bring any ill intent to you”, the guy said with a smile.

Prof. Nolan scoffs hearing this, he's not bothered at all by the malicious smile the guy has, ”Yes, there's a student named Rex came here”

Hearing this, the guy smiles.

”Is he going to come here again?”, the guy asks while smoking.

Prof. Nolan look at the guy and said, ”That guy is a dear student of Vargas, I hope you didn't plan on doing something to him”

The guy laughs lightly, he then waves his hands and left with a mysterious smile.

After the guy left, another person approach Prof. Nolan from the back.

If Rex was here, he will recognize the person as Ari the guy who is sent by the Reed Family to protect him.

Rex already told Ari to stay outside of the canyon, he will be looking out for anyone suspicious that might want to enter the canyon.

The matter with the Platchi Family is not finished, and Rex is not foolish enough to let his guard down even the slightest bit.

”Who is that guy? Why is he asking for Rex?”, Ari said.

Prof. Nolan looks at the guy's back who is walking away and said, ”I saw a tattoo on his hand, it is the black tiger tattoo”

Hearing this, Ari looks at his front while he mumbles, ”Black Tiger huh”

He then left Prof. Nolan before he calls someone, ”Sir, there's a member of the Black Tiger Guild searching for Rex”

”Yes, it's only one person”, Ari replied.

”Alright sir, I will do as you said immediately”, After hanging up, Ari turns into a shadow as he vanished from his spot.

Rex and the others finally got out of the canyon,

After hours of searching, they found no other mutated animals even after they went into more than five caves.

But nevertheless, it's evident there are mutated animals here.

'The other caves are very shallow, the best cave will be the cave with the black spiders in it but should I take the risk?', Rex thought.

From the caves he visited after the black spiders, all of them are shallow.

It will not be suitable for their hideout because even if they didn't get exposed directly, they will still be near the moonlight.

Aside from that, if Kyran transforms his scream will certainly be heard.

So for now, the cave with the black spiders in it is the only suitable cave that he found.

Rex and the others got out of the canyon with no injury, the injury Rex and Adhara sustained is already healed by now.

It didn't leave a single scar on their bodies.

”Where's Ari?”, Rex asks after looking left and right, he told Ari to stay outside to keep a lookout but he can't find him anywhere now.

Rex looks at Kyran before Kyran shakes his head, he also can't sense Ari nearby.

'Did something happened? but he's a rank six, so if something did happen there would be chaos', Rex thought.

He then shakes his head before they left the canyon after bidding Prof. Nolan goodbye.

In the middle of the night,

Rex opened his eyes as he felt his body shivering, his body is trembling non-stop as the cold wind pierced his body.

From the moment he became a Werewolf, he never felt cold.

His body becomes warmer than a regular human, and cold wind or even snow in the antarctic will probably not make him shiver like this.

'System, What is happening?', Rex asks.

<Yule Moon is near, its cold and merciless light will bring judgment on any Werewolf that wanders into its light>

Reading this, Red looks at his stats and found that the Yule Moon is 23 hours near.

He then looks at his side and found Adhara too is shivering, even her lips become blue in coldness because of the Yule Moon.

Both of them are meditating, but Rex stops after feeling that his body is cold.
