Chapter 5: Blood Moon (1/2)

Rex wakes up in the morning only to see a hologram notification appear in front of him,

Rex only shrug his shoulder when he feels nothing changes,

'As I thought, it's only a game. But this damn game tells me that I'm a half-blood? What a joke'

Rex feels his body has gotten better, his injury was all gone which can be considered a miracle.

He decided he will leave the military hospital today,

He puts on his black t-shirt and his beloved necklace, taking his bag that has his stuff in it before he walks out of the room.

The scorching sun, burn him as soon as he walks out of the hospital,

New recruits can be seen running in an orderly manner while singing barbie songs, Rex chuckles thinking about his first day in the military.

This military barracks Rex in is called the Noob Box, it is a place where teens such as himself trained for at least one year before they help fight the supernatural on the battlefield. Although the new recruits look okay, one can see the tension that fills the air by just looking at how hard they train.

'I hope they're ready, The battlefield is not as friendly' He sighs before starting to walk towards the exit.

Along the way, everyone greeted Rex as if he's a celebrity. Some even make him their role model.

Before he was discharged out, the nurse from yesterday told Rex that he is also discharged from the Noob Box and will be nurtured as an elite student in the new university where he will be trained directly by the veteran and becomes one of humanity's elite.

He is currently living in Ratmawati City,

Since the emergence of Supernaturals, Humanity is pushed to the side forcing humanity to yield half of the world. The countries decided to make a temporary alliance against the supernatural, this alliance becomes the last stronghold for humanity, it is called Elpida Alliance. Ratmawati City is one of the big eight cities in Elpida Alliance, It consists of seventy million lives.

Rex took a big breath before he calls a taxi and heads out to his home.

While he's sitting in the taxi suddenly, his phone rings. The rock song that he put as his ringtone shook him, He looks at it and picks it up. It was his mom.

”Hello, Mom?” Rex said after he slides the answer button on his phone.

Ms.Greene's voice replied from the other side saying, ”Where are you now? Are you sure you okay? Discharging from the hospital like that” She asks with a worried tone.

”I'm okay mom, I'm on the way home now” replied Rex with a light chuckle, It feels like a really long time hearing his mom like this.

”Fine, you're not a kid anymore so I'll trust you. Come to Nokas mall, Let's celebrate!” said Ms.Greene enthusiastically.

'Well, there's nothing wrong with relaxing for a while especially after that' after pondering for a while Rex replied okay to his mom.

Rex scrolls to the news on his phone and surprised by the headline news, 'The appreciation for the three Heroes'.

This news is about the UWO(United World Organization) giving the Medal of Honour for him, The comment section is booming with people saying thank you and giving blessings.

'Seems like what the nurse saying is true' Rex thought.

He scrolls down once more to see news about the new university that he will attend later on, 'the Grand Opening of Ochyra University'.

Rex looks at the Ochyra University photos and lets out a gasp of shock,

'Are they out of their mind? That is not a university! that is a damn Kingdom!' Rex shouted inside his head, the Ochyra University is in the middle of Ratmawati City and it is so big that it can probably fit tens of millions of students inside!

Rex looks to his right and to his surprise the tip of the University can be seen, Even though he is on the outskirts of Ratmawati City.

'That's new I guess' Rex thought.

After two hours, he finally arrived at Nokas mall.

Rex looks at the sky and saw that it's already starting to get dark

It shouldn't have been that long but the traffic is very nasty, He then meets up with his mom in a fancy restaurant on the highest floor.

When Rex arrived at the table, he saw that his mother is not alone.

There are three people accompanying her, One is a middle-aged man that wears a formal suit and tie, His grey hair is contrasting with his dominant body posture.

Beside him is a middle-aged woman that is already looking at Rex from afar, her hazel eyes seem sparkling under the light but what caught Rex's eyes is a beautiful girl that's probably his daughter judging by the similarities, her brown curly hair dangles to her collarbone, her skin is fair and smooth wearing a dark blue gown that reveals half of her waist showing off her seductive body.

'Who are they? Mom never told me that she will bring her friends', Rex thought while waving at her mom before approaching her.

”Rex, let me introduce you. Rosiana Family meet my son Rex Silverstar,” introduce Ms.Greene with a smile.

The middle-aged man stands up straight and hands out his hand, ”Nice to meet you, Rex. You can call me Muji. You seem to has become a celebrity overnight, The news is blowing with your name” said the middle-aged man while keeping an eye contact with Rex.

'He seems to be testing me but why?' Rex thought after feeling something's going on when suddenly a hologram notification appear just beside Muji,

He shakes his head and reaches out his hand, ”Nice to meet you too sir, the news is just exaggerating things” Rex held Muji's hand with a firm grip but suddenly Muji started to increases the pressure on Rex's hand.
