1214 Crazy, Sick Place Part 2 (1/2)

The assassin's attack startled Saleen, as the timing of the attack was completely off. However, the long sword seemed to warp through space and pierce its target two meters away. The spot that should not have been reached by the sword aura was now drenched in blood.

Blood spilled from the neck of the believer riding the white deer.

The blood was red and Saleen finally found something comfortable to look at in that place. If even their blood was white, then the workings of energies in them was different from humans.

Red blood was capable of disintegrating wind element. Humans and most living beings got their life force from it.

The blood on the assassin's tunic was completely absorbed. The black tunic had magic runes and patterns on it, absorbing the blood completely. Saleen felt that the tunic even absorbed the smell of blood, keeping anything from leaking.

There were 101 spectral servants serving Agares and all of them were high level assassins. The strike was clean. The assassin retreated back to the star figure's shadow after killing the enemy.

However, they were in a divine kingdom. A dead believer would trigger the senses of thousands around them, and many rushed at the river. Saleen had been choosing places with very few believers, but they were quickly surrounded by up to 10000 beings.

101 star figures surrounded Saleen. Saleen and Truman cast magic spells calmly, and Saleen lectured Truman while he fought. Isabella hardly attacked, simply following behind Saleen, holding a wooden sword.

The wooden sword was given to her by Saleen and enabled her to easily burst sword aura, but was able to serve as a magic staff.

Isabella listened to Saleen lecture about magic combat and did not attack. Eleanor used conventional magic arrows, shooting at faraway beings slowly, preventing them from being surrounded by too many powerful beings.

The female assassin by Agares' side disappeared and retreated back into his shadow.

It seemed to be rolling terrain, as the plane consisted of peaks of hundreds of meters tall. All kinds of beings rushed at them from between the low peaks.

Saleen was exasperated and took out the Magical Element Tower. Huge metal gears emerged from tip of the tower, forming a magic net.

The demonic spirits cast spells again, but 600 attacked at the same time.

”Puny beings. Why have you invaded the divine kingdom of the lord!?” A booming voice was heard in the hills. Saleen saw a dragon's head lift up, blood-red eyes glowing.

”Divine kingdom of the lord?” Saleen laughed. ”You're a dragon, no? How did you come to believe in the Lord of Glory? Isn't this place conquered? What happened to your original master? Did they get killed? Did you choose to betray your previous god out of fear?”

Saleen saw blood rush to the dragon's head, but the power was dispersed. The dragon's original level had probably been above level 13, but it was not even level 12.

”I would have fallen without the lord's guidance. Are you human?” The dragon was able to understand Saleen's words, but it was talking in magic tongue.

The Myers language was no longer the lingua franca of the planes. However, many beings were still able to master the magic tongue.

”Come out and I'll show you what it means to fall.”

”Saleen, why do you want to piss it off!?” Agares was irritated.

”I need a dragon to make a bow for my archer,” Saleen said it deliberately in magic tongue. The dragon was angered and leapt out from the hills. Saleen realised that the dragon's proportions were off. It had a small head while the body was hundreds of meters long.

One of its huge claws held a round ball, which seemed to be rusted but undoubtedly metallic. The dragon threw the ball at Saleen.

The ball was about 13 meters across. If it were landed, it would take a full-power level 11 Water Shield to resist.

The huge round ball was like a shooting star. Saleen did not resist or evade. He simply had Nailisi open up the 12 Notes of First Purgatory and sent the ball into the purgatory of the fallen, chained by the 24 chains of the Shackles of the Fallen within.

”Thank you. Good stuff you've got there. It's no wonder why people like dragons so much. You make a great host,” Saleen continued to provoke the huge creature.

Dragons had nasty tempers. However, under usual circumstances, people could do anything to provoke a dragon, and it would not bother with them. Dragons saw most beings as beneath them and not worth noticing.

It was like how ancient humans were powerful and imposing. If an ant bared its teeth, they would not even bother to extend a finger to squish it.

After provoking the dragon, the huge creature was finally unable to take it. Rainbow colors shot from the surface of its body, bringing a bit of liveliness to the snow-white divine kingdom.
