1175 A City’s Tragedy Part 1 (2/2)

Not a single person escaped. Jason's attack was clean. He used to great snake to seal off the magical tower's exits, then used a fireball spell to burn all the people in the magical tower into ashes.

The great snake flew to the top of the next magical tower. It was only a seven-floor magical tower. The great snake wound around it, but this time, the great snake wriggled effortfully and contracted inwards, cutting the magical tower into three pieces.

Saleen saw that the great snake's scales were packed with magic patterns. After it touched the magical tower's defensive magic spells, the spells disintegrated. The offensive magic spells were all completely negated or blocked. The snake's body was extremely tough, even mages in a magical tower for combat were helpless against it.

Not too far from the seven floor magical tower was another six floor tower. The great snake's tail held it up on the ground. It leapt forward and rushed to the front of the six floor magical tower. The snake turned and used its huge tail to whip the magical tower.

There was a deafening sound, followed by screams from within the magical tower. Thick smoke billowed everywhere. The snake's tail whipped downwards, causing the magical tower to topple immediately.

Jason could not be bothered to kill the mages in the magical tower. He summoned the great snake and flew towards the next magical tower.

Pompeii City was a mess. In the 10 floor magical tower at the centre of the city, a red robed mage activated a teleportation portal and transported himself back to Alchemy City. The mage was the one who had sent the godly item to Kang Bai. Kang Bai had been killed in battle, the godly item had been lost, and since he was not a match for the opponent, he might as well leave.

He had not lost the godly item, so he did not need to bear any responsibility, so he did not have to risk his life to face Saleen. He had observed Saleen and Kang Bai's battle from within the magical tower and had seen that Saleen's clan badge was able to shoot out a current more than two meters thick. He knew that Saleen had already become a powerful enemy for Alchemy City.

The people of the Elemental Hand were laughable. They had wanted to force Saleen to give up the benefits of the magic nuclei.

Sika and Saleen followed Jason, but they had no opportunity to act. Jason controlled the great snake, and with the cooperation between man and beast, small magical towers were unable to stand more than 10 seconds.

A magical tower was undoubtedly a mage's most powerful construction. However, the 10-floor magical tower no longer had anyone to support it. Of the remaining magical towers, the tallest was only nine floors, and most of the mages had already escaped.

Many mages had seen Saleen's lightning attack. The ones remaining were all Grand Duke Pompeii's mages. The mages had chosen not to leave because of a sense of honor. The ones who had escaped were all from Alchemy City.

Their mission was to cooperate with Grand Duke Pompeii. Now that the Grand Duke was dead, there was no point in staying.

Most of the towers that Jason had destroyed had not contained any mages. Jason asked Saleen if he needed the towers, as they would be considered Saleen's property in the future. Saleen shook his head. If the magical towers had been made with steel rocks, even if the great snake had been two levels higher, it might not have been able to destroy them so easily.

Pompeii City was now his. Saleen did not kill anyone, he only followed Jason to drive the mages away.

Saleen did not make the remaining mages surrender. A majority of the mages were supported by him. The mages had accepted Grand Duke Pompeii's provision, and now it was time for them to pay the cost.

The four corners of the city went up in flames, and Saleen knew that it was Nailisi's work. The demon troops began to appear, hiding from the magical towers and cleaning up Grand Duke Pompeii's troops.

The sounds of massacre were loud. The demon troops quickly arranged themselves in formation for battle and pushed the streets back one by one. Some of the demons were close to 10 meters tall and carried alchemy crossbows. They destroyed many buildings along the way.

Nailisi controlled them well. The demons did not kill any civilians, and only pursued and killed the troops.

Jason destroyed the magical towers without pausing. Hundreds of mages were escaping from Pompeii City, heading towards the canal. There was only one quiet place: the 10 floor magical tower.

Jason saw that there was resistance that was especially strong and brought Saleen close to the 10 floor magical tower.

Jason stamped his foot, and the great snake stopped midair. Its scales were bloody. During the process of destroying the magical towers, killing the enemies could not be avoided. The great snake's scales were a weapon and could fly out to attack enemies.

”Saleen, that magical tower is about to collapse and form an elemental storm. How do you plan on settling this?” Jason pointed to the distant 10 floor magical tower.

Saleen gazed into the distance. ”Record the images. It was not caused by me.”

”Mm, not bad. You should not be softhearted. The teleportation portal in this magical tower should definitely be opened. If you get close to it to think of ways to stop its collapse, you would meet an even more dangerous attack. Let's go up.” As Jason spoke, he flew the great snake up more than 5,000 meters into the air.

Saleen looked downwards, in a complicated mood. He summoned Nailisi and allowed her to withdraw the demons and stop killing the enemy's troops. After 10 minutes, Pompeii City no longer existed.
