The number of followers by Saleen's side increased, which was increasingly helpful for him. Jola was able to work alone, and once Eleanor and the others advanced to level 10, Saleen would not need to worry about direct conflicts with the Holy See.

Now that he wanted to face Alchemy City, he required helpers. Daniel could be trusted, so Saleen might as well refine a piece of level 13 equipment for Daniel to use.

The flow of time in the Magical Element Tower was fast, due to the fact that Saleen's Magical Element Tower used too much power and its movements were too quick.

Saleen had not come out from the Magical Element Tower, and Nailisi had already returned triumphantly from New Demon City.

The Southwest aristocracy's allied forces had already been conquered by the imp. Nailisi led the allied forces in a landslide victory. Pompeii City's military force of 50,000 had been killed instantly. The mages in the troops had mostly escaped, and the number of soldiers who had died in battle exceeded 10,000. The number of soldiers that escaped back to Pompeii City was estimated to be less than 10,000, and the remaining people were taken as prisoners.

The Southwest allied forces acquiesced. Nailisi led only 10,000 demons and was able to destroy Pompeii City's elite troops. Although the reason was due to the suppression of level, what Nailisi did was chase away the mages in Pompee City's troops.

Without mages, they were on even ground, and the loss of the demons was almost negligible.

Unless the demons were killed in battle—even if they were heavily injured—after about 10 days, they were able to reenter the battle. If the demons were mixed in among the human soldiers, they could break out with an even stronger combat power.

The cooperation between the humans and the demons formed the core of the battle. After Nailisi drove away most of the mages, the battle core was able to easily find the last of the enemy soldiers, and quickly annihilate them.

It was the toughest battle. After most of the formation had collapsed, the soldiers who were still able to form a system for combat were the core of the whole formation, which was what the humans and demons destroyed together.

Human combat was extremely professional, refined, and pertinent. The demons were strong and recovered quickly. When they worked together with humans, it formed a very unique style of combat. The humans were the core of their small teams and led the demons and headed towards the enemy's most vulnerable spot.

Using the method that was most economical in terms of energy, they destroyed Pompeii City's last resistance.

After Nailisi returned, she lost her arrogant and conceited attitude. During Saleen's absence, she had taken control of the generals of the Southwest alliance forces.

The concept of New Demon City had been brought up by Saleen, but it was Nailisi who completed it. The confidence of the Southwest aristocracy's allied forces towards setting up armies that employed demons greatly increased. They were not very different from humans in intelligence. There were also mages among the demons, and although their numbers were sparse, it proved that they had the qualifications to seek the world's mysteries.

New Demon City's House of the Lord had only just begun to be established. They needed to wait until Cuisi's trusted followers and the others arrived, and then they would be able to officially form troops and change it to Lex's territory. The Southwest aristocracy dispatched an emissary to reside there and coordinate battle arrangements.

Saleen no longer placed much importance on such things, as they were only a small portion of his plan. He wanted to taunt Alchemy City. By seizing Pompeii City, he wanted to see what Alchemy City's stance was.

It was not that Saleen could never work together with Grand Duke Iron Blood. The things Grand Duke Iron Blood plotted included the Cloudflow Empire, so he was Agares' enemy. Saleen had no interest in the political powers of the continent. If Grand Duke Iron Blood could allow the Nature Faith to become widespread, as long as the Myers Goddess was revived, Saleen would abandon everything, leave his kingdom for future generations, and begin to use all of his life to explore the mysteries of magic.

Saleen had no interest in becoming emperor. The First Dynasty's Emperors had all vanished in history's endless flow. Only the Founding Emperor had left behind a few traces, but it was due to his achievements in magic, not his identity as an Emperor. If not for the fragments of ancient history that had been recorded in the mages' journals, none of the emperors would have left behind anything in history for people to pay their respects towards.

Ten days passed very quickly. Saleen used the Magical Element Tower's teleportation portal to look for Cuisi and the other demons, entrusting them with the plans for New Demon City.

”Your Majesty, I am only a level 9 supreme demon and can't suppress this situation, if Master stayed…” Cuisi said with some hesitation.

Nailisi kicked the supreme demon's rear. ”I won't ever bother with such things. I already subdued the Southwest aristocrats. How long a road do you want me to pave for you?”

”But you also can't just ignore it!” Saleen disciplined Nailisi. ”Cuisi follows you, so you must let him have a future. Don't tell me you are just going to let him to toil on until death and not be able to gain anything?”

Nailisi did not respond, since Saleen made sense. Of the four demons that had followed her from the beginning, Cuisi's achievements were the greatest. There was even hope of advancing to level 10 and becoming a devil.

Having only one capable subordinate was not good.
