Noticing that the two sorcerers were giving chase, the winged skeleton had no choice but to inform Cuisi to retreat. There might be grand swordmasters following behind the two sorcerers too. A sorcerer was the most useful in ambushing a camp.
Cuisi was injured by a grade-7 sorcerer and was treated by Nicholas in Daliang City. He did not dare be that careless again. Hearing the winged skeleton's calls, he tossed the short golden lance in his hand. The lance penetrated three cavalrymen in succession, then, he turned and fled.
When the other three demons saw Cuisi running away so quickly, they did not dare stay there any longer. They immediately followed Cuisi into the crowd of spirits.
Cuisi made a beeline for the winged skeleton. Arriving beside the winged skeleton, he said, ”What do we do? We cannot deal with these people!”
”Master is with us.” The winged skeleton laughed as he made Cuisi's heart beat wildly. Last time he laughed, a few hundred holes appeared in Cuisi's body.
By the time the two sorcerers arrived at the first level of the camp compound, they noticed that the enemy had fled. Levitating in mid-air, the grade-7 sorcerer said, ”We… better get back.”
The grade-8 sorcerer arched his brows, then berated, ”If you allow others to come wreak havoc and leave arrogantly, shouldn't you feel embarrassed receiving so much support from His Majesty?”
Seeing that the grade-8 sorcerer was livid, the grade-7 sorcerer could only tag along, as both men flew towards the main camp.
Observing that two sorcerers were hot on their heels, Su, who had all along remained beside Saleen, suddenly said, ”Sir, let those two sorcerers land on the ground, then go and restrain that grade-8 sorcerer with all your might. I will handle that grade-7 sorcerer.”
”Su?” Sitting atop a skeletal warhorse, Saleen already saw that Su had drawn his sword. He felt a little astonished as the sword's blade was dim and the Sword Aura was introverted. Su's proficiency had been steadily maintained at the standard of a Silver Grand Swordmaster. ”He is making really fast progress working beside Lex!”
”Sir, I can deal with that grade-7 sorcerer, don't worry.” Su's gaze was determines, so Saleen set his mind at ease. He remembered the time when Lex's camp was assaulted by a Silver Grand Swordmaster, that invader could only be restrained with a combination of power. This combination included the power of an elderly assassin, a grade-7 sorcerer, and some Black Metal Grand Swordmasters.
It was relatively easy for a Silver Grand Swordmaster to kill a grade-7 sorcerer independently. The most vulnerable aspect was if the Silver Grand Swordmaster was outnumbered, and a sorcerer also knew how to fly.
”Prepare to attack.” Saleen declared.
He was ordering the trusted soldiers around him. Red streams of light were released from the elvish alchemical crossbows, pointing at the sky. The two sorcerers appeared very swiftly, in the blink of an eye, they were already two-hundred yards away. Saleen and company suddenly came to a halt, then the trusted soldiers turned around and took aim. Two-hundred red rays appeared in the sky, engulfing the two sorcerers within.
Any kind of magic skill would not act faster than light magic, the effective duration of light magic was similar to that of the other elements. When the red rays were fired, the two sorcerers blessed themselves with a defensive spell in that instant. They then immediately realized that the red light did not possess any offensive power.
When the two sorcerers saw the trusted soldiers protecting Saleen, they reacted differently.
The grade-8 sorcerer lunged forward aggressively, he planned to attack from a distance of fifty yards. The grade-7 sorcerer shrieked, ”Elvish crossbows!” Then he turned around to leave.
His grade might be lower than that of his partner, but he possessed more knowledge. There were unique patterns on the elvish alchemical crossbow. When the grade-7 sorcerer spotted them, the only thought in his mind was to get out of the elvish alchemical crossbow's range.
Saleen would never allow him to flee. Two-hundred elvish alchemical crossbows fired simultaneously, but the grade-8 sorcerer simply sneered. A wind dragon appeared before him and was about to blow away the dense formation of crossbow arrows.
This grade-8 sorcerer never expected Saleen to be immensely wealthy, these elvish alchemical crossbows were stored with genuine magic arrows. Tthe material used was divinecherry wood which possessed space attributes. The trusted soldiers were already proficient in various weapons, especially the ones who wielded the crossbows. With the red rays guiding their aim, all of the alchemical arrows sealed whatever escape routes the sorcerers could think of.
The crossbow arrows, made from divinecherry wood, flickered within the wind dragon before passing through it, coming before the grade-8 sorcerer.

On the necklace hanging around the sorcerer's neck, a segment of gems suddenly shattered. Dozens of alchemical arrows passed through the sorcerer's shadow and continued towards the sky.
This grade-8 sorcerer was astonished and outraged as he experienced excruciating pain throughout his body. This equipment of his could save his life three times, it contained an autonomous non-elemental spell; Nihility.
In the face of fatal attacks, the three magic gems on the necklace would automatically turn his body into a shadow, but the sensation of pain would still exist. If it was not for this necklace, he would have been dead by now.
The two-hundred trusted soldiers appeared unfeeling, as they slid the front handle of their elvish alchemical crossbows and loaded another arrow.
The grade-7 sorcerer was farther away. Before becoming a sorcerer, his forte laid in escaping. When he realized that the enemy was employing elvish alchemical crossbows, he flew a few yards into the distance. He was then rudely awakened as he charged towards the ground.
The grade-8 sorcerer also reacted swiftly, but he remained an easy target in the air. By charging towards the ground, the grade-7 sorcerer actually increased his speed.
