What were the Cloudflow people doing here? This was what Lex wanted to find out. ”The Holy See already occupied half of Titan Duchy and the Cloudflow people didn't retaliate. They had deployed warships to the rear of my Daliang City instead.”

Based on her instincts, Lex felt that this was not a good thing.

Nicholas' white beard quivered, as his eyelids jumped. He told Lex, ”Your Highness, this prophecy spell cannot be used recklessly. If used incorrectly, it will be harmful for you.” Lex listened quietly, so Nicholas continued, ”The prophecy spell isn't the same ability as what an astrologer would use. An astrologer would rely on the constellations to predict the progression of future events. A prophecy spell uses the power of the gods to roughly calculate the events which might happen in the future. This prophecy will sometimes undergo changes.”

”Which means that it has the same effect as a contract?”

”No, but… let's just assume you use a magic attack to attack a person and you are only fifty percent sure of striking them. Under the effect of a prophecy spell, this chance will be increased to eighty percent, or even one-hundred percent. If a person falls sick, they will have a chance of dying and if the prophecy says that they will die, then this possibility will be infinitely close to reality. This thing cannot be regarded as a genuine prophecy, it is dangerous.”

”No wonder, I heard that a large prophecy spell can kill someone directly, is that what you mean?”

”It's about there. Your Highness, without using the prophecy spell, you will know whether it is a good thing that the Cloudflow people are here. Cloudflow would have sent an envoy group to Holy Rock City already otherwise.”

Covering a distance of two-hundred miles, the Cloudflow's envoy group took three days to reach Daliang City. At this speed, they were as slow as a tortoise. There was a total of more than six-hundred people in the envoy group traveling in more than three-hundred large chariots, accompanied by over five-hundred horses, as they dawdled. This actually gave Lex a lot of time to make preparations.

There were two seven-story magical towers within Daliang City, while there was one six-story magical tower outside the city. Lex had sufficient mages with her and she was also accompanied by Nicholas and Su. Relying on the God's Ring, Lex was not afraid of the Cloudflow people trying anything funny.

Daliang City was a complementary capital to the Bitter Water County, all the administrative facilities there were complete. Lex's Bitter Water Prefecture was a city which groomed mages for her, she rarely went back.

The envoy group stayed in the hotel in an orderly fashion and they sent people to deliver a letter to the city owner's residence. Daliang City had a city owner and the city owner would hand the letter to Lex, who was staying in the palace.

When Lex received the letter, she flew into a rage after reading the contents, then she immediately went into deep thought.

”There is no point being angry. Judging by the contents of the letter, the Cloudflow Emperor wants to do something that is definitely beneficial for Cloudflow and that is not weird. That emperor wants to marry me and thus devour the entire Bitter Water County? The Cloudflow people have underestimated me, even though Father has passed on, I am not a mindless pawn!”

The letter personally penned by the Cloudflow Emperor was very straightforward. In the letter, Emperor Agares had personally asked Lex to get ready to wait for the arrival of the marriage envoy from the Cloudflow Empire.

And… that was it.

The Cloudflow emperor wanted to marry Lex, and Lex would be made empress.

This was an outright forced marriage, Lex was enraged for less than a minute before suppressing her anger. She instructed people to place this letter in a box and deliver it to Metatrin City. Thereafter, she ordered her subordinates to seal the palace and claim that she had fallen ill. She did not want to meet the Cloudflow's envoy.

Cloudflow's envoy made many consecutive requests to meet Lex, but was rejected. The envoy did not get angry, he only asked people to tell Lex that Emperor Agares would deploy a colossal entourage in November to marry her.

Then, this six-hundredman envoy group stayed put in Daliang City, totally ignoring Lex's reactions.

Three days later, Lex received Saleen's reply. There were only two rows of words in the letter.

The first row; 'kill the entire envoy group'.

The second row; 'I will arrive in October, ask Nicholas to stay put'.

Reading the letter, Lex burst out in laughter, then she immediately ordered a camp of soldiers to seal the hotel. No one could leave the hotel anymore. She then led two grade-7 sorcerers, Su, and Nicholas, to the hotel.

The deployment of troops from Daliang City startled the Cloudflow's envoy group. This envoy group had five-hundred cavalrymen, while the remaining over one-hundred people were servants who served the envoy. Protecting the envoy was a grade-7 sorcerer and a Black Metal Grand Swordmaster. This envoy was an earl in the palace, after arriving in Daliang City, he acted as if he was the boss around there.
