706 Elf medicine Part 1 (1/2)
The southern gardens of Metatrin City occupied an enormous land, this was the place where the Caucasus elders lived and it was also Sika's private land. At the moment, Eleanor was staying there for the long term to cultivate some weird plant species from the elvish plane.
Sika and Eleanor were now cultivating a plant that was around two yards tall, this plant was odd. Its entire body was made up of one leaf and one stem. Magic patterns grew out of the leaf naturally, while a green radiance circulated within the stem, releasing faint hints of the scent of life.
Sika meticulously poured the medicine she had concocted on the stem area, while Eleanor repeatedly cast elvish spells on this towering stalk.
Within the leaf, a filament flagellated slowly as it bloomed slowly. Eleanor gestured with her hand, and a mechanical bee flew over. The body of the mechanical bee was made from mithril, it was tiny and lightweight. The mechanical bee pounced on the leaf, pollinating the small blooming flower.
A tinge of jubilance appeared on Eleanor's face, ”It was a success!”
She did not carry so many of such plants, she was just left with three seeds. If the seeds could not be nurtured, then she could only return to the elvish plane and retrieve more seeds. ”The medicine made by the Caucasus priest is pretty good, even though the formula is unlike the elf medicine, it is suitable for this plane.”
Sika did not stop working, this plant was absorbing the medicine too quickly, luckily she was sufficiently prepared. This situation would turn out to be like the previous one where Sika could only watch the plant wither before her eyes.
Eleanor kept casting elvish spells, eventually, the filament of this plant transformed into a petal which was even smaller than a sesame seed. Finally, it fell off, producing something like a wheat ear.
Eleanor stopped casting magic, as she inhaled deeply and wiped away sweat. Sika also stopped working and asked curiously, ”Eleanor, what are you cultivating?”
”Nine-leaf Grass, I only brought along twelve seeds, now I am left with three. If no new seeds are nurtured, it won't be sufficient for use.”
”Nine-leaf Grass? There is only one leaf here…” Sika pulled a long face, as she was dissatisfied with Eleanor's answer.
Eleanor smiled warmly, and said, ”If I could cultivate nine leaves, I would be an elvish god. The medicinal properties in one leaf is already sufficient for me to advance to a sorcerer. Mm, the Six Elements' Space is also equally useful for me.”
”A medicine which can help someone advance to a sorcerer?” Sika could not believe what she just heard. She knew how many tribulations Saleen had went through, these close shaves helped Saleen experience many adventures, yet, Saleen was only a grade-6 mage at the moment.
”Even though the advancement to a sorcerer isn't as tough as the advancement to a Nature Priestess, it also cannot be stimulated using medicine.”
”Sika, this is my secret, you cannot tell anyone else.” Eleanor tugged at Sika's arm.
”Mm, I will not tell, but…”
”You don't have to tell Saleen, he will not ask about this.” Eleanor carefully plucked a seed, then asked, ”Sika, I heard that County Queen Lex is here, and she is in the temple, aren't you going over to take a look?”
”Lex is currently discussing matters with Saleen, she is busy.”
”Aren't you worried that Saleen will be snatched away by Lex?” Eleanor asked with much curiosity. If Eleanor was in Sika's shoes, she would have rushed over the moment Lex returned.
”Eleanor, I was just vexing over how to help Saleen marry Lex.” Sika replied as she shook her head helplessly.
”Sika, are you crazy?”
”Nope, Saleen has to have a wife, right?”
”But…”
”No buts, Lex is so wealthy and powerful, Saleen will not be at a loss by marrying her.” Sika pointed at the Nine-leaf Grass and asked, ”Do you still have use for this?”
”I only want the leaf…” Eleanor did not know what to say, she plucked off the leaf carefully, leaving behind a two yard long stem on the ground.
”It's a pity, this item can be used to make medicine. It is better than a mage's medicine.” Sika noticed that the stem's color had changed quickly after the leaf was removed, the stem began yellowing and its medicinal properties had disappeared.
”Sika, Saleen asked me to advance to a sorcerer as soon as possible. I have enough seeds now, so I can grow some Nine-leaf Grass for you, but these things…”
”Other people cannot know about this, right?”
”Yes.”
”Eleanor, you have followed Saleen for a while, have you ever seen anyone trying to find out information from me?”
Eleanor was taken aback, then said, ”No.”
