639 Murdering the three kings Part 2 (1/2)

Saleen had agreed to Nailisi devouring the three kings because of another reason. All this while, he could not determine the origin of the three kings. He only managed to find out that the three of them had followed a powerful human in the past.

It was extremely perilous leaving something like that beside him. Metatrin City was actually full of loopholes and there was a lack of powerful characters protecting it. Saleen had no choice but to trick the three kings. At the moment, there were two grade-9 sorcerers in the western town, thus forming an interdependent relationship with Metatrin City. Fellett and his wife lived in the city while the winged skeleton protected the waters, so there was no need for the three kings anymore.

”As long as the Holy See's expeditionary army is defeated this time around, Metatrin City will remain safe within the next one and a half years. In at most a year, my demonic city can begin producing huge numbers of demons. By then, Cuisi's abilities should be as strong as the three kings or perhaps even stronger. I will have sufficient power at my disposal already. When that time comes, Judikaka will already guess that their presence poses a threat to me. Will the three kings remain passive? Definitely not, I should just attack them now to catch them off guard. If I wait until the Holy See's army is defeated, then the three kings might be the ones who act first.”

”Master, Soldier requires at least three months to get back, will it be too late by then?”

”No, the broken-edged barrier might not be salvaged, but the Holy See's army does not have sufficient rations. Very soon, there will be high grade holy masters transporting huge amounts of logistics over to reinforce the army. The crux is rations. Looking at Metatrin City, they will know that they cannot take it down in the foreseeable future and I will not initiate an attack either. ”Then Holy Rock City will take action!”

”Yes, I will not attack and they cannot breach the city either. Holy Rock City will surely react, however, it won't be so soon because I have already leaked the information and deployed people to pen a letter. Whether or not Holy Rock City will help my empire, they will have to debate about it among themselves for some time. That's why I said that there will be a period of stalemate for around six months.”

”In six months, I can evolve into the appearance of a devil and totally grasp the fourth ability. Master, if I eat Eleanor, I can even transform into an elf, what do you think?”

”Nonsense, Eleanor is my follower. Even though the contract has a time limit, I will banish you to the demonic plane if you dare touch her before the contract ends and you shall never return again.” Saleen spoke in a harsh tone.

”After that?”

”You also cannot do it!” Seeing that Nailisi was not afraid of him and was still trying to argue her way out, Saleen said, ”The function of your third ability, transforming into a human, isn't great. You shall use the human form to learn the skills of an elf, the effect will be better.”

”Got it, Master.” Nailisi knew that Saleen was right. By transforming into a human, Nailisi could learn many skills which could not be learned by a demon such as the archery skills of an elf. Nailisi's powers were growing by the day, in the future she would not need to veil her identity. Disguising herself as a human would be a completely unnecessary thing. If she did not learn the skills unattainable by a demon, then having this ability would be futile.

”Nailisi, Eleanor might be a royal among the elves. Tell her that you want to learn her best archery skill. If she agrees to it, then give her this.” Speaking, Saleen took out a short bow from the devil ring.

This short bow was only as long as Saleen's arm, it was even shorter than the Qin Eight-sided Sword. The body of the bow was a dark green color. There were no magic patterns on its surface, only some natural wood grain patterns. Both tips of the short bow were fitted with a horn. Saleen had crafted them using the horns of a dragon. The bow chord was suspended atop the dragon horn. The bow chord was fully transparent and slightly thick with three dimensional green magic patterns in it.

At one glance, Nailisi knew that this shortbow contained an immense power. It was as though there was an infinite number of overlapping spaces in the wooden body of the bow and these spaces contained every single attribute in Nailisi's knowledge.

”Master, where did you get this item?!” Nailisi asked in alarm, she could sense that the bow itself was a horrifying weapon. Even if she transformed into a devil, her soul could get broken by this short bow.

Saleen's short bow was crafted using the branches of the Tree of Taboo. It was rumored that the Tree of Taboo contained all the rules of every plane. Once a person mastered all of them, they would become a supreme god.

”Stop prying, if Eleanor agrees to the request, I will also make a bow like this for you too.” Naturally, Saleen would not reveal the contract he had signed with the Goddess of Nature. Nailisi would be implicated if he did, and Saleen would not know what consequences there might be.

Afraid that Nailisi would probe further, Saleen added, ”If you want the three kings, then you need Eleanor's help. Her crystal arrow can subdue the three kings. If you master this skill, it will be of great help to me.”

Of course Nailisi envied Eleanor's archery skills. She put in a lot of effort into learning it, but Eleanor did not want to impart her forte to Nailisi. Nailisi was filled with resentment and wanted to eat Eleanor.

Even the emperor of the elves would not be able to obtain a branch from the Tree of Taboo. The four divine trees were born only because of the Goddess of Myers.

Receiving the short bow, Nailisi could not stifle her jubilance. Saleen smiled and said, ”Go on, I want to practice magic now.”

Nailisi nodded, then went to look for Eleanor.
