”Does the subcontinent plane have such creatures?” Saleen decided to ask after noticing the look Su had on his face when he saw the demonic spirit.

”The demonic race is the enemy of most races. Great Mage, it will be very perilous to keep it by your side.” Even though the youth could not understand what Saleen told the demons, he could decipher their actions.

The four demons surrounded the demonic spirit, treating it in a haphazard manner. The treatment provided by the demons was questionable, but the demonic spirit did not dare resist, it simply gritted its teeth. Of the four demons, only Cuisi had the ability to use spatial equipment. He took out a torn armor, giving it to the demonic spirit.

”In the future, you will be our slave.” Cuisi patted the demonic spirit on its shoulder.

”Very straightforward,” Saleen laughed. Given the power of this demonic spirit, Saleen could not even be bothered to sign a contract. The number of contracts a mage could sign was related to how much mental strength they had. Even though Saleen had a vast amount of mental strength, he would not waste it on such a low grade creature.

Nailisi felt the same way too. Nailisi only cast the Ultimate Shapeshifting Skill on Cuisi and company because they were useful. This demonic spirit would be left alone with its ferocious appearance.

It was possible that the four demons felt that this demonic spirit was too weak as no one tried to argue with Cuisi. The remaining three demons pushed the demonic spirit to one another. Eventually, Aiwa recruited this demonic spirit as his slave.

Demons were cunning and scheming. Afraid that the demonic spirit could not be controlled, they wanted to sign a demonic contract to prevent it from attacking Saleen abruptly. Aiwa gave the demonic spirit a random name; Grimace.

”Viscountess, that big creature is back!” some swordmaster hollered. From the chariot, Saleen looked into the distance. The Sindika, whose body was drenched in blood, was making a beeline for the camp compound. There was an unknown number of fish beasts on the Sindika's body, chewing away furiously at his flesh.

The fish beasts on the Sindika's body were mostly the size of a fist, their mouths were filled with rows of sharp teeth. Unlike the two rows of teeth found in a normal creature half the surface area of their mouths was filled with teeth.

This abyssal creature actually possessed the fire attribute. He, however, had lost his skin. Even before he could recover, he had ran into an astronomical number of newly hatched fish beasts. The stench of blood on his body immediately drove them berserk, causing them to attack him in huge hordes.

The Sindika's muscles twitched continuously, but there was no way to stop the pervasive attacks of the fish beasts. The fish beasts who fell to the ground immediately sprung up again, lunging at his body.

”I will do it.” When Saleen saw the mages preparing to cast their spells, he stopped them.

Saleen set a Swamp Illusion along the path the Sindika was traveling in. Before the Sindika could enter the area under the influence of the Swamp Illusion, dozens of icicles suddenly emerged from the ground. The Sindika could not control its steps. After crashing into the icicles, it fell into the Swamp Illusion.

The Swamp Illusion was actually a level-3 spell, it could not contain a grade-8 creature like the Sindika. Saleen only wanted to slow down his movements. Thereafter, the Swamp Illusion began burning.

The fish beasts atop the Sindika's body detested magic flames, they did not even like the flames from the natural environment. Even though the area of the Swamp Illusion was not huge, it could encompass the Sindika. The moment the flames began burning, all the fish beasts began falling off the surface of its body. Only the fish beasts who had infiltrated his body continued swaying their tails, desperately trying to wriggle into his flesh.

At this point in time, the strongest alchemical crossbow in the camp compound fired an arrow. This four yard long arrow produced a strange whiz, penetrating the Sindika's torso. Slightly more than half the arrow pierced into him.

No matter how strong this abyssal creature was, it was now on the verge of death after being tortured by the Mechanical Soul and fish beasts. The attack by that large alchemical crossbow finally destroyed the Sindika's last breath. It crashed into the ground, ruffling hundreds of pounds of black sand.

This alchemical crossbow was originally used for attacking cities, it could burst a small city wall with one arrow. The arrow head was not only sharpened with crystals, magic arrays were added too. The swordmasters could not operate such an alchemical crossbow alone, a mage was also required. This alchemical crossbow was less accurate than a miniature alchemical crossbow. The Sindika had fallen into a trap though. Given its colossal body, even an inferior archer would not miss the shot.

”Unscrupulous…” The Sindika only managed to mutter one word before dying. This poor grade-8 creature, if it had not lost most of his powers in the spatial passageway, the Mechanical Soul would not have succeeded in its sneak attack. The Mechanical Soul had ruined the Sindika's third eye, causing him to lose his last few long-range attack methods.

The people in the camp did not dare be careless. A war puppet and a fully constructed puppet were deployed. The body of the Sindika was still ablaze with flames. The two puppets went in for a close observation under command. After the all clear was given, Lex then sent people to dissect the Sindika's body.

An abyssal creature might not have a magic nucleus, however, the resources on any part of a grade-8 creature was valuable. Had this taken place on the abyssal plane, no one, other than Bain, might be able to resist this creature. Even though the Sindika was filled with injuries after the chewing of the fish beasts, his bones remained in perfect condition, even the ones in the torso region. The gigantic alchemical arrow had went through the crevices of his bones after penetrating his body.

If a large alchemical crossbow was absent, it would be extremely difficult to kill the Sindika. It would also be very tedious to kill all those fish beasts if it was not for Saleen's water and fire spells. At the very least, the process would have consumed a huge amount of resources. Saleen and Lex would not have any dispute over a grade-8 creature, each person took whatever they needed. The skin belonged to Lex while the bones went to Saleen. Items like the fascia could be divided into two equal portions. The remaining things were the flesh and intestines, which Saleen took to feed the lightning dragons.

Saleen and Lex no longer needed to do such menial tasks. Seizing this short period of free time, Saleen and Su signed a contract.

The enforcement of a follower contract was not very strong. The only clause which could not be violated was that neither party could harm the other. Since Su understood a range of languages, Saleen arranged for him to learn the Myers mainland language first because Saleen realized that it would be difficult for him to return to the subcontinent plane.
