476 Temptation Part 2 (1/2)

Other than the volley of arrows there were no other attacks. This moment felt almost as if it took forever to Bifano. To kill or not to kill?

Jola looked at Bifano almost laughingly, twisting his wrist. Tears gave off an intense noise.

Almost instantly, Bifano broke out into a cold sweat. Saleen had already come to less than ten meters away from him. At this distance, a grand swordmaster was a big threat to a mage.

He must be crazy, the two fellows besides Saleen were incredibly powerful. Jola was at least a silver grand swordmaster while Wild Bear's powers were equally terrifying. He was almost like a human-shaped magic beast. If his attack failed, he would need to do it himself and he would need to face off with the two of them. If he retreated and extended their distance, Saleen would be able to attack him with his magic calmly.

Bifano gave a dry laugh and made an inviting gesture. Saleen glared at him coldly before walking calmly back to Lex's magic chariot. He intentionally rubbed shoulders with Bifano as Jola whispered in Bifano's ear, ”Small duke, why haven't you taken action?”

This sentence had two meanings as Bifano retreated sternly, not saying a word. Seeing Saleen going into the magic chariot. He instructed his soldiers, ”Second regiment, prepare to enter!”

The second regiment were heavy infantry. Even though Titan's heavy infantry was not as good as the Qin Empire's, their equipment must have weighed over thirty kilograms. The soldiers were wrapped in a chain lock armor. Holding heavy shields, their weapons were instead double-sided blades that were slightly shorter than a cross spear.

Among the one-thousand people in the regiment, there were six-hundred heavy infantry troops. They were now split into three groups. They formed a small phalanx, preparing to enter the temple. Their attacking powers were deadly and the double-sided blade was incredibly heavy with a row of saw teeth at the center. Even a mage would be unlucky to be surrounded by them.

Bifano's five-thousand strong elite were the capital of the Agares family. Seeing the six-hundred heavy infantry troops gathering together and entering the black hole, he felt the fierce aura emanating from them.

Only when one had killed would there be such a fierce aura. Titan had always been peaceful. When the soldiers of the Stone Statue Castle met with an attack, they were chaotic. As for Bifano's soldiers, they actually had powerful combat experiences. This was the result of the secret training by the Agares family. Every year, Titan would buy a group of prisoners on death row or slaves, to be massacred by their private soldiers.

The prisoners and slaves would also be given weapons, if they were to survive in the brawl, they would regain their freedom. Only by using such brutal methods the private soldiers of the Agares family have such powerful combat abilities. Soldiers that had not gone on any battlefield would always be new soldiers.

Saleen looked back at Lex and realized she was not bothered by Bifano's soldiers at all. The soldiers from her swordsman camp had undergone bloodbaths too and were not any weaker than Bifano's soldiers. The Qin Empire had been going on expeditions in the recent two years, the black mages had caused trouble, Loulan Duchy had been invaded, and Lianyun City had fallen into enemies' hands. They did not cause the downfall of the Qin Empire, but instead toughened up the powers of the wealthy in the Qin Empire.

Sika who had been keeping silent finally opened her mouth, she silently took over the Ring of Gifts that Saleen passed to her and said, ”Viscountess, earlier on, Bifano wanted to kill Saleen.

The conversation in the magic chariot was blocked off to anyone outside. Lex looked at Sika and rubbed her finger, saying a little difficulty, ”It isn't good for us if we take action now.”

”I do not care about that, he wants to harm Saleen, he needs to die.” Sika's words did not leave any room for discussion.

Lex furrowed her brow, she could understand Sika's feelings, however, Bifano now had over five-hundred soldiers. If they killed him, the consequences would be disastrous.

Nailisi shot a look at Sika before saying, ”Sister Sika, do not worry, it is good for me if we keep him.”

Sika kept silent, her hand leaving her boomerang. Nailisi had more ideas than her and she definitely was not lying. Her relationship with Nailisi was much closer than her relationship with Lex.

In actual fact, the black hole was just a space tunnel. Both sides were on the same dimension and they were not far, it was unusually stable. Saleen and Lex both knew that the temple was not near their location and could be hundreds of miles away, connected by this tunnel.

If they could have such skills, it would be much more useful than a teleportation portal. The teleportation portal could only bring a few people with it at once and it used up a tremendous amount of energy. So long as this space tunnel was not across dimensions, the amount of energy used up could be ignored.

Even the Sacred Holy See did not have such means. Saleen and Lex naturally did not ask for much. So long as they could find the main temple and get the seeds from the four divine trees, they would have the power to go against the Holy See.

The dark tunnel was only a mile long and at the end of the tunnel was a bunch of magic machines that had been abandoned. These magic machines were incredibly simple and only needed a magic disciple to control them. Hundreds of arrow tubes were aimed at the tunnel, all the arrows had been shot out earlier. The first heavy infantry officer was a little suspicious, he had no idea how the arrows from these arrow tubes could have shot over a mile. He was in no mood to investigate and waving his hand, forty soldiers immediately came forward and used the double-sided blade in their hands to destroy the magic machineries.

The black ground was inscribed with a mysterious magic pattern, at the front was a huge door that was over thirty meters tall. No one was waiting in ambush; the tunnel was too long and the magic machines that Lex had prepared was not even used. The pink army was hiding inside the temple and would not show themselves no matter what.

If the pink army rushed out of the temple to fight, once they got out of the tunnel, they would be burned to death by the fire wasps.
