”But, Saleen, I possess the power of a priest and I can already help, can't I?” Sika did not understand why Saleen had to make her another set of armor. She had enough room for improvement as a warrior priest. At the very least, she would not fall too far behind before Saleen became a grade-9 sorcerer.

”You have to dedicate your life for the power of a priest, Sika. I want you to live, not to sacrifice yourself in battle.”

”A priest will increase their life expectancy too. It doesn't mean anything to sacrifice ourselves a few times.” Sika forced a smile. Caucasian priests were decreasing in number, because when they fought in a battle, it was inevitable that they had to sacrifice their vitality. She had not known that Saleen would know that.

Saleen did not explain things to Sika in detail. The higher grade he became, the more profoundly he understood the soul. Especially when he had obtained ownership over the winged skeleton, a death creature, the information that he had obtained from the winged skeleton made him scared.

It was not that the soul would not die; otherwise, the death dimension would not have had so many wars. The Caucasians actually believed in a primitive religion, but because there was no god, the priests had to sacrifice themselves to bring power upon their clansmen. In the long run, not only did the priests have shorter lives, but they would completely disappear after their deaths too.

According to the sayings of the Caucasians, the priests would be back to the embrace of the earth, but how could Saleen let Sika finish things that way?

As for god's left hand, even if it had been a trap left behind by the Myers Goddess, he would have jumped in.

The Myers Goddess was the god of the current dimension but her spiritual fire had been extinguished. Unless there was assistance from a power stronger than her, only the Myers Goddess would be able to reignite the spiritual fire, but there was not any deity who could do so. On the dimension of the Myers Mainland, gods were utterly denied entry. The Myers Goddess could be considered completely dead, with no chance of resurrection.

That was a complicated matter. Saleen did not know what his left hand would bring forth, but at least he could keep Sika alive instead of having her constantly sacrificing herself.

”It's up to you.” Sika flipped over and faced her back towards Saleen.

Saleen flipped Sika around and looked her in the eyes. ”I know I can't make you go against Caucasus tradition. Since you are not willing to marry me, you have to accept my present.”

Saleen then took off the Ring of Gifts from his finger and put it on Sika.

”Wait until you have obtained slight divinity. Then you will be able to use this ring.”

”This ring, you're willing to give it to me?” Sika knew what the Ring of Gifts was. It was something the Myers Goddess had left behind. It was mostly likely a semi-godly item, or even a godly item.

”Why would I find it hard to? When I first met you, I just wanted to abduct a stupid Caucasian. Sigh, back then…”

Sika smiled when she heard Saleen talking about the past. She said, ”I thought you were amazing. I did not know that you were being chased after so disastrously. The village chief told me that a mage is the presence of power. Look at you, when have you ever been powerful?”

”I will be in the future,” Saleen replied confidently.

Saleen's achievements could be attributed to the luck brought about by the Ring of Gifts. The ring had been won when he gambled with Baron Minghui, and he had not spent a single penny. But the ring had changed Saleen's fate entirely.

If not for the Ring of Gifts, it would have been impossible for Saleen to own spatial equipment when he was merely a grade-1 mage. It would have beenimpossible for him to enter the ruins of the Myers Goddess' temple, and he would not have gotten Nailisi. His harvest after that could not be forgotten either. Without those items, Saleen would not have known Aini, and he would not have known his future direction.

Saleen had given Sika the Ring of Gifts as a gift, and Sika did not say anything. Even with her character, she nearly cried. Mages never spoke verbally of love or gods, but they would exhibit things through their actions. Saleen gave his most important item to me. At least I didn't pick the wrong guy.

With Saleen's assistance, Sika started learning the holy prose on the Ring of Gifts and signed a contract with Saleen. The contract was actually just a connecting contract, but it was very important. If there had not been absolute trust between the two of them, they would not have signed that contract. The contract meant that Saleen and Sika had both added eternal coordinates to themselves. No matter how far apart they were, they would be able to find each other.

Saleen's left hand would be able to provide Sika with the power required to cast spells.

The borrowing of power was not restricted by distance, but their current grades were not enough for them to disregard the problem of distance. However, at least within the range of a few hundred miles, Saleen did not need to worry about the problem. When he reached the level of a grade-9 sorcerer, as long as Sika did not leave the dimension, the contract would be able to provide them with accurate coordinates.

Of course, the coordinates were dangerous too. If Sika were to be captured and the person who held her captive was a mage that was grade-5 or above, he would be able to find Saleen through the coordinates. It was very dangerous for Saleen because the people from Holy See would find a way to kill him. Once that happened, Saleen would not be able to escape even if he wanted to. The Holy See would only need to send a high priest who was on the level of a deacon and Saleen would be revealed.

After signing the contract, Saleen then told Sika the problem. ”So, don't stay too far away from me and don't get captured by our enemies. Otherwise, I'll be in big trouble.”
