Chapter 2253 - Side Effects Of Rule Bending (1/2)
”Micheal, you will go the Charmel city on the 7th of this month and take command of the forces there,” Said the projection of Lord Whitmore.
I am once again back in the back in the huge white hall, and in front of me is a long table with twelve seats, of which only four are occupied, and all of them are being occupied by the projection of the council members.
It had become harder and harder to see the real bodies; it is clear that some of them have already joined the war and are fighting the front already.
”There will be few people to aid you, and we hope you will listen to their suggestion,” Lady May said, especially emphasizing the 'suggestion' word. ”I will listen to their suggestions,” I said, understanding the meaning behind her words.
”In the northern side, we are getting pushed back a lot. The Grimms have destroyed our forts, and they have reached our cities; we hope you will be able to stop their advancement there,” Lord Whitmore said.
”I will try my hardest to not let Grimms take even an inch of our territory,” I replied, keeping my promises to a minimum; I don't want to boast and then not deliver.
The war is unpredictable, and many things could happen; there is a quite high chance that I might die with all the power I have.
Grandmasters are not invincible as they were before the war when Grandmasters were rarely fought outside but not now.
I stayed in the hall ten more minutes, listening few more orders and veiled pieces of advice and words of caution before I got back in my home.
I have to leave on the 7th of this month, which means I have three more days. As I had yesterday, there is nothing for me to prepare, and I could leave at a moment's notice, but on the other hand, I have barely any free time even when I am not doing anything.
The call from the council had been a great surprise; I had thought it would take till the end of this week till they call me, but they mailed me in the morning.
I told my father immediately about leaving, and even though he was not happy with it, he supported my decision. I am more worried about my sister; she is going to be in little trouble when she knows I am leaving.
It had been more than half a year since mother had left, and since then, there was no call or message on her part. My sister is missing her a lot and ask about her every few days, a question which I could not answer.
I don't know when the mother will return or where she is; the council had been very tight-lipped about her mission. Only saying she is alive and will take some time before she comes back.
I walked inside my room before entering the practice room before I took out the tub, which was already filled with blue-yellow solution.
