Chapter 2203 - Lightning (2/2)

I said weakly; it is Nero that has come to my rescue and sucked away all the lightning in my body. If not for him, there were be my ashes lying here right now. The lightning was powerful enough to turn my strong body to ashes.

While I did not die, my condition is extremly precarious that I am only a step away from dying. I am injured in both body and soul and did not even have the energy to even twitch.

Still, I know I have to do something very soon; I am at a very dangerous place and with the very weak condition that, if left untreated, could kill me, not to mention the other dangers of this unknown place I had entered.

So, I strained my soul to its limit and went inside my core; it took quite an effort to do that, but I finally did. The next second, a formation appeared around me, and on it had resources that would make the eyes of Grandmaster go wide.

The formation activated without me activating it. It is one of the emergency recovery formations I have created; it does not need to be activated; as long as they are brought out, they will be activated on their own.

It took only a few seconds for essences of resources to cover me before they seeped inside me, feeding my hungry body and soul the recovery energies they needed.

The recovery energies of these resources are very powerful. I had used the very precious resources to make this recovery formation, keeping conditions such as this in mind and thank the god I did, otherwise got to know how long it would take me just to open my eyes.

It took me half a minute before I could open my eyes and another minute before I could twitch my finger.

Five minutes later, I got enough energy to move that I saw Rhea, who is not far from me, and just looking at her, I knew her condition was even worse than mine.

Her diamond armor is in tatters, there are several holes in her diamond skin, and she looked burned all over, and if it is not for her bloodline that kept her life hanging by a thread, she would have died by now.

When lightning bolt struck my shield, most of it had spread around my shields, but some of them went for Rhea. I tried to protect her, but I was powerless to do that.

I could sense her vitals and knew her condition was very serious; her bloodline was holding her life by a thread, but that threat was under an extreme, and the lightning was tearing through every part of her and straining her bloodline more and more.

It won't be long before the lightning suppresses the bloodline completely, and that time, the final thread she was hanging by would also be snapped.

'I would not let that happen,' I said. I was not able to protect her earlier, but I will protect her now, and with that throught, I waved my hand gently.

A recovery formation appeared around her; the formation is different than mine. The recovery formation I am using is designed specifically for me, while the one around Rhea is for someone with a bloodline.

There are neutral element recovery resources already around the formation, but I added all the powerful earth elemental recovery resources I have in my storage and activated the formation while seeping one string I could produce into her.

The bloodlines are very complicated, and the string would help me adjust the process if any complications appear.
