Chapter 2200 - [Bonus ] Leaving The Manor (2/2)

We did not say anything as we got out, just silently beginning to make the way toward our destination while watching for the signs of any threat that was not visible. This ruin is fraught with dangers; the more cautious we are, the safer we will be.

'The monster the Grimm fighting was really powerful,' Rhea said telepathically as she had activated her defenses and me my defensive shields.

We are walking through the field where one of the lightning attacks of the monster had landed. The whole area had become charged with powerful lightning that we could not pass through without defensive abilities.

We would not have dared to pass through such a dangerous place if not this way, saving us hours of time.

Before the battle, this was blocked by a very powerful broken formation which was destroyed. There are parts of it that are floating here and there, but as long we avoid it, we will be fine with our defensive method.

Hours passed, and soon, it had been a day since we had come to this ruin, and I have to say, it had been productive beyond my imagination.

I have found things that will help me extremly; aside from books it the gems I have found gave me greater hope. There are massive peculiar energies inside those gems, and I couldn't wait to investigate them.

It is clear that once upon a time, those gems were extremly powerful treasures, but over time, they have lost more than 99% of their energy. From the little investigation I did, I was able to see that these gems are not treasures that maintained their optimal condition.

Due to not being stored properly, they have lost a huge amount of energy, which is a very good thing for me. If they were in their peak condition, I don't think they would have been any use to me.

They would have been too powerful to be of any use to me. Even these gems, after losing so much energy, still contain a colossal amount of power, so I will have to be extremly careful when I use them.

'Stop!'

I suddenly stopped Rhea and hid behind the large collapse wall while asking her to activate her stealth ability. She looked at me in question, but I did not answer, and a few seconds later, her eyes widened up in surprise.

There are two Grimm Monsters coming in our direction, and like us like they are also traveling cautiously, avoiding any danger they have come across.

Both of them are also quite powerful and with commendable defensive abilities.. Their defensive abilities might not be compared to Rhea since she is a freak, but they are still pretty good, but it would not save them from me.
