Chapter 2154 - Dinner (1/2)

”I am finished for today,”

I said as I saw the recovering formation dimming, all the resources I had used spent. They are now inside me, helping me create the life essence that I had burned.

One session is far from enough; with the amount of essence I had burned, I had to use them regularly before I recovered 90%, which could easily take a week or more; I will know clearly by tomorrow.

After the formation was clearly turned off, I went to shower and cleaned off the signs and smell of the resources.

Ten minutes later, I walked out and wore a clean set of clothes before walking out of my room. When I went to the kitchen, I saw the children playing in a living room and my father in conversation with Hazel.

Hazel noticed me first before my father looked at me, ”Micheal, you should have informed me about you coming,” My father said. ”I did not want to disturb you, dad,” I replied as I had begun to take out the things for dinner.

”I am allowed to be disturbed by my son,” He said, ”How long are you going to stay?” before adding, ”At least a week,” I replied. ”Good, rose will be happy; she had been quite sad since your mother left,” He said.

My mother had stopped contact a few days after she had left for her mission. I don't know where she had gone, but it is likely deep into the Grimm territory.

The Pyramid did not tell me anything about her mission; the only thing I know is that she is alive and she is with a very powerful Grandmaster. Her mission seemed quite important; they don't send Grandmaster for the regular mission, much less two.

My mother may be a leader technically, but her art gives her the power of the Grandmaster, and she is very hard to kill with her art.

After exchanging a few words with Hazel, I concentrated fully on my cooking. I am making quite complicated dishes, most of them were the ones I had created, but some of them were from totem and at very high rank.

I used not only my hands but also my vines. Though I could only use six vines with my current ability, they are more than enough.

A few minutes into cooking, I saw Hazel walking out of the spot and sitting in front of me without making any sound. She did not disturb me as I cooked, just watched silently.

It took me an hour and a half before I finally finished with the last dish and ordered service golems to place the dishes. These golems that Elina had given me are really good, perfect when I host the people.

”Your control is phenomenal, Micheal; even some Grandmaster don't have such control as you do,” Hazel said as she took a seat on the dinner table.
