Knock Knock!

”Come in!” The Commander said from inside as I knocked on the door; I opened the door and walked inside the office.

”Commander, you have summoned me?” I asked, ”Yes,” She said with a heavy sigh. A trip to the Astral Tower had changed her, her aura had become even more concentrated, and the feeling of strength she gave off became quite heavy.

If she projects her aura on normal Tyrants, they will faint without much resistance.

”I was planning to take a small team inside the Tower to see if I could take some things out of the Tower, like things from some training rooms.” ”Do you think it is plausible?” She asked. To that, I shook my head, ”I think it would be a very bad idea, commander,” I replied.

She arched her brow in question, ”The reason we are able to harvest the resources, not because of the towers malfunction but because tower let us do that,” ”From what I have gotten from books we have collected and my own conjecture, I believe that there is AI in a tower and it is very much active,” I said.

”Do you think if we left the Tower alone for a decade or two, we would again have the hall full of herbs?” she asked.

”Yes, I think so,” I said, while AI is not in full control of Tower as it used to. It still does a certain task like sowing seeds. As for taking care of them, it won't have the ability to do that fully, nor does it need to; some of the plants survive without care, they just need dense energy, and they will be able to survive on their own.

While we might not be able to get a hall full of precious herbs, as I had said, we would still get thousands of precious plants; the only thing we have to do is wait.

”Thank you for the input Jordan, I will think about it and now talk about the main reason I had called you here,” She said and looked at me in the eyes.

”Your Headmistress is calling you back, and she is pulling quite a few strings for it,” Commander said and looked at me. Her face looked blank, and no emotions could be seen on the surface of her eyes; I could see some hidden irritation and slight anger inside.

I wanted to remain quiet but seeing the look in my eyes, I thought it would be best to speak few words lest my silence brings out hidden irritation and anger. ”Headmistress must have a reason to call me so suddenly,” I said.

”Yes, she mentioned that. Her precious little student had stuck, and he needs your help,” Commander said, and when she said it, all the irritation and anger she had kept hidden came out.
