Chapter 1879 - Red Amulet (1/2)

”Dead!”

I whispered as my runes have finished harvesting nearly all, leaving only 1% essence. I left it intentionally, for it maintains its nearly complete dried form.

I gently brought out a beautiful azure rose from its stomach and stored it without much admiring. The job is not done yet; this is the stage where things could turn serious and dangerous. So, I have to be very careful what I do next.

I had already stripped it of everything valuable it had on it, and now that I had also taken the essence rose, it is time for protection amulet to know that the Grimm Monster is dead.

There are only two things that will happen, then things will go sideways, and the amulet might explode, or nothing much will happen. Even though there are 50% chances that nothing much will happen, I do not want to take risks.

So, I had set the timer I had designed in the formation and flew away from the Grimm Monster till I reached near the end of the hall.

There I activated the plant protection formation, which I had broken earlier, and waited. I had set up a timer of one minute; only ten seconds have passed. In fifty-second, the formation would collapse, and the amulet will know the Grimm Monster it is supposed to protect is dead.

Time passed by, and soon fifty seconds passed, and formation collapsed. Just as it did, a dark red aura shot out of it; it had covered its whole body and by second became darker and darker.

Due to me being in the protection formation, I could not sense what is happening but seeing the angry red color and how it is going deeper and deeper, it seemed like there is a high chance it might explode.

It is a good thing, I had covered myself in the protection formation; I would be relatively safe here if it were to explode.

I was bracing for the explosion when suddenly, all the angry red glow had vanished, and not only that, the huge body of Azure Horseman also begin to collapse from the top till only ashes remained of it. Though, there is so much remained of the protection amulet.

It is currently floating on the place where the Azure Horseman's ċhėst had been. Seeing that, a smile couldn't help but appear on my face, and I took out a calibrator to broke the formation I am in.

It took a few seconds for me to get out of the formation, and a second later, I appeared beside the ashes of the Azure Horseman, looking at the red-colored floating protection amulet. It looked like a thick gold coin which is painted red, and it had a thick runic design and symbol of wheat stalk on another side.
