Chapter 1221 - Range (1/2)
”We have to reach the range of Crown Tree today.” Rachel said as we got out of the abode; everyone nodded, hearing that. Only around a week remained till this Ruin closed, and we have to harvest the things we need from it, if we did not then it will defeat the whole purpose of coming to this ruin.
With that thought, we started our journey today; we kept our speed higher than yesterday. We were killing every monster that came in our with the quickest speed without holding anything back.
Ive even asked Ashlyn take a activate part, and now she is ahead of us, killing most of the monsters that coming toward us; because of Ashlyn, we only facing three out of ten monsters that coming at us while the rest of them dealt with by the Ashlyn.
It is not just monsters we are coming across; we have even sensed teams of Grimm Monsters and humans. I had stopped Ashlyn from killing Grimm Monsters; these Grimm Monsters would turn very helpful when we reach the crown tree.
As we grew closer to the Crown Tree, the comic energy grew denser and denser till we started to see very faint golden yellowness around us. This is a sign we have grown closer to the Crown Tree, and due to that, monsters got even more powerful.
”Micheal, now would be time to lift your sword right,” Sarah said finally when six monsters came in our way, till now; no matter how monsters powerful monsters have gotten, I have never raised my weapon but seeing six powerful Mid Prince monsters are coming, mary finally had to ask me to fight.
Except for Sarah and Jim, I don't think anyone thinks much of my fighting ability. They did not look down on me or anything since I am a medic and doing fine under such a dense energy environment, but I could still feel their gaze.
”Sure,” I said and desspeared from my spot, and as I desspeared, the vines erupted below the Bear Monster I am targeting and bound it completely.
Puch!
As the vines completely bounded it, I appeared beside it and pierced my sword into its head, killing it immediately before storing its body.
When I looked back, I saw my teammates still fighting, and it took them a minute to finish off the monsters they were fighting before they look at me in surprise; the only people who were not surprised were Rachel and Jim, but a slight astonishment can be seen in their eyes.
”You are quite fast,” Mary said with a gaze that made me quite uncomfortable, ”You can do it too if you used your real strength,” I told her, ”Sure,” she said with a smile before we continue on the journey again.
As the monsters' numbers and strength increased, I started to join the battle more actively, and I killed all the monsters the same way I killed the first monsters.
